The food was excellent. We came in a busy night, it was packed so we expected a wait. They got us to a table 10 mins earlier than expected. The atmosphere was quite loud, and it was a busy night, not sure what the normal volume level is.

I enjoyed my experience at Xin Ding. The person who entertained us, Claire, showed me what to do (and what to avoid doing) when it comes to soup dumplings. I can't thank her enough, because it would have been a 'whole thing' if I would have burned myself at the table.
Interesting cocktails, sake and draft beers live here- TV's too. Visited on Super Bowl Sunday and sat comfortably watching the game.
I would definitely let someone bring me here to eat again.
Also, Claire told us about which sakes were more dry and which were on the sweet side, and so many other things because I asked beyond too many questions. She was patient. I'm glad she knows her stuff, I was confident in my order.
Explore the area and then have sake and dumplings at Xin Ding.

This is not authentic dim sum. The baozi dough was fluffy and sweet, not the proper texture. The shujiao were a little better but too doughy. The cabbage was unimpressive with a certain sweetness that was not welcome, and too much garlic.

Absolutely awesome! We tried the soup dumplings and Chongqing style chicken and both were amazing! However they prepare the chicken was so crispy and delicious! A really lovely ambience and the service was spectacular! We must have snuck right in before the rush, but we were lucky enough to grab a seat. It was very popular and I see why!

Food was great (Szechuan fish, green onion pancakes, crystal shrimp) with ample portions. Good cocktails too. Quick and friendly service.

The food was incredible! First visit. Went with a large group and we ordered several different items. None of them disappointed.
The atmosphere was fun and the service was excellent.
If I was a fan of downtown, I’d definitely revisit. If you are, I highly recommend.

Fun atmosphere, very busy on a Saturday night. So much so that the host was running around, helping the other staff for quite some time before helping me with my to-go order that was ready for pick up.

First timer here in Oregon from Houston, Texas and wanted to try a dumpling place and this establishment didn’t disappoint. The place was very lowkey. I ordered the pork soup dumplings, shrimp fried rice, and honey walnut shrimp and it was SO delicious! I wish I lived here because I will be craving the honey walnut shrimp when I go back. Definitely recommend!

Everyone suggests the pork wonton dish and I thoroughly agree! We had two different noodle dishes, the Chow fun and braided beef noodle soup, as well and both were delicious! We saw a couple people get the Chongqing Chicken and will definitely try that next visit.

Food was good, very curious that the wait staff was routinely violating the Oregon Senate bill 90 by providing straws without asking for them. Also noticed a service inefficiency by having the wait staff having to juggle pens, straws and paper. They should be wearing aprons to minimize this second show for the guest. Food rocked tho. The XLB was bussin
