We loved the atmosphere of this place! The food was also one of the best that I’ve had in a long time! Definitely recommend the Chinese Sashimi, Kuay Teow Kua Gai (if you like spicy, this is great!!), and the spicy chicken cashew (the chicken was so soft and tasty!!!). Not only Nikki, our server was very knowledgeable. Every person that came to our table to drop off a plate, would go over what it contained and their own suggestions on how to eat it. 100% worth it!

Walked in, sat at the little faux bar. Mezcal Negroni was excellent. Chive cakes are the jam. Squid salad was wonderful, beef chow mein is ?. It was lively, good music. Will be returning soon.

Just delicious! We ordered the Family Meal to sample a bunch of dishes, and each one was unique and tasty. As a foodie and serious home cook, this place impresses!

One of my new favorite spots in Portland! I thought they nailed everything.
The food was distinct from the many other great Thai restaurants in town, and it was so delicious. The kuay teow kua gai and spicy cashew chicken were my favorites.
The decor is also super cute and we had great service. I thought the vibe was fun and not too fussy or pretentious - which fits the bangkok chinatown theme - and prices were reasonable. Can’t wait to go back.

Second time dining here and it only has gotten better! Hopefully on its way to becoming a Portland institution.

Great food, atmosphere, drinks, and most importantly, service! I loved my food, but my bf couldn’t stomach more than two bites of his (this was his fault for exploring something new). The service staff noticed he didn’t touch his food and took the dish off our bill without mentioning it, which we did NOT expect as it was his fault. This impressed us as it was completely unnecessary on their part. This is good business and while I already was telling people how great their food is, now I will include this story! Worth the hype.

Fun spot, great food in a low-key environment. Drinks were good. However, the food would have paired better with beer. We certainly will be back for more!

Made a reservation pretty easily through Resy for dinner at 8p (they close at 9p). Parking is street parking but easy to find a spot as there are other places nearby and people coming and going out of parking spots.
The staff are all so kind and inviting, I loved that we met multiple staff as they were all collaborating to deliver the plates, checks and taking orders in a timely manner. Not sure if that’s the vibe but it felt like being in someone’s home and was very cozy.
We came on a special collaboration night with Jinju patisserie and kiyokawa farms apples, which felt awesome to support 3 amazing local business.
We got 2 appetizers, 1 rice dish and 3 desserts and this was perfect for a late night dinner. If we were hungrier, would definitely had done another entree to split. We also each got a drink (I got the Young King, which might be a nod to the restaurant name and would highly recommend). We paid about $130 total for 2 which felt very appropriate.
The squid was so delicious and perfectly spicy! (They do warn that it is on the spicier side for Portland standards)
Overall, a low fuss and cozy dining experience! Would come back to celebrate an occasion with friends or date night

Fantastic cozy vibes and great food. Menu has seasonal changes but we loved the wide rice noodle dish. Seems simple but somehow a star. Oh, and if you’re looking for a unique fancy delicious cocktail, this is your place.

Gorgeous decor, soft lighting and great service. The theme for the restaurant is Chinese food from Bangkok so there is a unique blend of the two cultures food. The Chive cakes are one of the best things I have ever eaten. Couldn't get enough. We celebrated a birthday there and it was absolutely perfect!
Vegetarian options: Vegan birthday girl went home full and happy!!

Low to mid quality ingredients, pretty poor execution. Food looked like it had been sitting for a very long time. Nice staff, but extremely disorganized. Brought the main dish to our table three additional times after we received our first one thinking we hadn’t received it yet. Happens all too often with food runners vs a dedicated server. This was also the first dish we received. All appetizers came way later. Forgot drink orders multiple times. Two stars is generous. Best thing they have going on are the unique hi chew flavors as parting treats.

Delicious food and tasty drinks. Smaller portion size but filling.
Dietary restrictions: They removed the pork fat from the chicken dish.
Kid-friendliness: We are outside so, it was not kid friendly.
