One of the best Japanese restaurants in town.

They have happy hour, when they serve ramen, chirashi don and other mains in smaller portion at about half of the price.

Very budget friendly for solo dining! Especially if you want to try out different foods.

Great later night sushi on Division. The miso is excellent and so is the service. I have never included a bathroom in a review, but it's worth checking out.

Solid sushi, but a very special vibe throughout the place. Sitting at the bar is a must.

Frenchy is a super good roll, one of the best I’ve had. Wife had omu-rice which was also delicious

Love this place. Probably the best sushi in the neighborhood, fresh sushi, good service, really convenient. Decently priced and good indoor/outdoor seating. Love all the wooden booths inside and the big windows. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu!

The overall atmosphere saved it from being a one star review. If I could put 0 stars for the service then I would. The servers ignored our table even though there were only two other occupied tables in the whole restaurant. Even after many attempts of making eye contact and waving them down, they would continue to avoid us. Portions are very small despite the high prices. The food was ok but nothing special worth coming back for. Definitely skip this one

The service is terrible. Was ignored by our server, needed to get up to get items we had already asked for it to order more. Once and done type of place. Food not bad but not amazing either.

Good sushi place with a proper Japanese atmosphere. Makes fresh rolls that elevates the traditional flavors of sushi without the need for absurd novelty ingredients

Low key izakaya with authentically funky decor and a very casual vibe. We love the chicken karaage, spicy tuna and mackerel.
Beer, wine and cocktail options, booth, table or counter seating and very good service. One of my faves.

Small quant adorable shop, reminds me of Tokyo during the night. Cozy, warm, foods good, they make their noodles in house which is always appreciated.

We've been loyal customers of Yaraimura Maru for the past 3 years, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots! The food is always amazing—this time I had the Abu Udon and Shoyu Ramen, and both were absolutely delicious, as always. Cynthia and Phil were awesome—so kind, welcoming, and attentive. Their warm service really makes the experience extra special. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great people!

We came here for our anniversary. And had great servers that were very friendly. There was plenty of room for us when we arrived at almost 9 PM on a Thursday night. I talked to the sushi person and she was very honest about what sushi was very fresh and which ones were just pretty fresh.

We ended up ordering Tako-Yaki, spicy salmon roll, Big Eye Tuna sashimi (was the freshest and most $$), salmon nigiri, a few hand rolls and a wonderful broth-less thick Ramen bowl. The broth-less ramen was the real stand out for the evening. I highly recommend trying it as the noodles were coated in a unique thick, delicious broth with a soft boiled egg and yummy charshu pork. It is called Kama-tama Ramen and is $16 for a good sized bowl or $24 for a large bowl.

One drawback, besides not having great sushi or much of a sushi selection, are the prices. We spent $115. for two folks sharing enough food to fill us and one tall can of Kirin - including tip.
