Phenomenal sushi. And a great price for the quality. Definitely ask about the specials and grab a sake from the drink cart next door. There is an area with lots of tables and chairs so you can eat at the food cart pod area.

I've tried a lot of sushi from all over Portland and this is the best that I've had. The fish tasted so fresh and all of the flavors were delicious.

Yoshi’s Sushi is the best! We tried the spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll & tuna belly katsu(served only on Wednesday). They all tasted fabulous! Best sushi in Oregon!

Great spot! The sushi is very fresh and high quality and even more impressive considering this is a food cart. Recommend calling in advance with your order. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Would definitely go back!

After reading so good reviews of this place, this was on my must try out list when in PDX.The restaurant owner is a very sweet guy. Our order was ready on time. Now the rolls… They were amazing. We had lime roll and spicy jackfruit roll. Both were too good. Jackfruit one was such unique one to try. All the flavours were balanced. Why 4 stars… We found a piece of a metal in one of the roll. We had our kiddo enjoying these and it would have been a big mess if it was accidentally swallowed.Apart from this one thing, everything was good. Will try other items on the menu when in pdx next time.

The sushi here is fantastic. You should check out the YouTube feature on Yoshi if you haven’t already. He takes a lot of pride in his product, and it really shows. This is some of the best sushi I’ve had in the states.

As someone who waited a couple years to try this place because I was too lazy to call and order. I can say yes, it is worth calling in your order so you can try this amazing sushi. Chef Ikeda is slinging out some seriously delicious and fresh sushi outta this cart! My favourite was the seared albacore nigiri; the albacore was the most tender I've ever had. The rolls were creative, thoughtful and of course delicious. And the hand rolls I had here were stuffed with a generous portion of fish. Very happy I finally tried Yoshi's!

I've been trying to sample the hype for two years but apparently only the early birds get the rolls. I was firmly able to try a few hand rolls during Multnomsh days and found out what friends have been talking about. The food speaks for itself, the owners are super cool and the live music was brought it all together.

You have to call to place your order prior to pickup, starting at 10am until he sells out. He updates his voicemail daily to reflect his hours. He kindly called me back after missing him three times, since I was so eager to try his food. You pickup the food from his food truck at the address. There is sushi Nigiri (2 pc), appetizers (seaweed salad or miso soup), and cut rolls (8 pc). He has specials too, but you need to ask about them when you call. The sushi Nigiri was good, pretty standard quality. Each order, there's a topping to complement the fish. I loved the scallop (hotate) with crunchy yuzu pepper marmalade on top. I personally would have preferred more ginger miso topping on the salmon. The rice to fish ratio is good - not too much rice. Two of the rolls are very creative and taste great, especially the Spicy Jackfruit roll. It was extremely flavorful and unique. The lime green roll is a good alternative for vegetarians; we added salmon and we thought it was good, but we probably wouldn't get it again. There's plenty of seating, both inside and outside, and there's a good variety of other food trucks on the lot, including a beer trailer. It seems like a fun spot to be, but most of the trucks were closed to the heat wave when we visited.Vegetarian options: Appetizers: Seaweed Salad, Miso SoupNigiri: Egg (Tamago), Tofu (Inari), MushroomRolls: Lime Green Roll, Spicy Jackfruit, Avocado & CucumbeParking: Additional free parking behind the lot with all the food trucks

Best sushi in Portland. Order ahead via phone - they don’t take walk up orders. Ask about the daily specials. Hotate nigiri! Worth it.

Delicious. Had a bit of everything and will definitely be back. We’re from Denver and often dine at Sushi Den, its of the highest quality sushi in Denver. Yoshi’s Sushi is right up there with it. Would highly recommend.
