The food is srunningly delicious, the drinks creative, the service warm and gracious, and the outdoor seating was pleasantly shaded. I am heartbroken that i didn't know about this gem that opened during the pandemic. Now they are closing at the end of the month. I plan to eat there as much as I can in the next week. I wish this beautiful family every good thing in their future efforts.

Didn’t capture pictures of every dish because we just dug in, but everything we ordered was so good! The four of us each had a different favorite dish which leads me to believe you can’t go wrong with whatever you order. The cocktails were super refreshing and delicious as well.Dog friendly seating and very dog friendly owner! She brought out a water bowl right away and treats for our dogs multiple times.Bummed that this spot is closing at the end of July but hoping they can find another place to share their delicious food!

AMAZING FOOD! We went in for my partner's birthday and the staff was so accommodating and sweet. I think the owner was working in the kitchen and she was very kind and welcoming. The cocktails were immaculate as well!!

Top 3 Thai in PDX! No idea how they don't have a line out the door. Wagyu fried rice was an EXPERIENCE, Cocktails are everything you need, and the staff is always at your service. Flavors off the charts.

Unique and tasty Thai spot whom are a genuine jewel. Walk in thru the kitchen to be seated in the restaurant where you get to watch the mother/ daughter combo do their magic. Great drinks to boot to pair with some delicious green curry squid ink seafood pasta!

The food was amazing. You could see the cook preparing the food, because the kitchen is at the front of the restaurant and you have to walk though the space to the seating. The room bs we’re super soft and melted in your mouth. The Larb was interesting, and also flavorful. The Pad Thai was tangy and sweet. The soup we had was full of tender meat. We split the mango sticky rice and it was the perfect ending! You could tell the chef loved what she made!

Quite possibly the best tom kha soup and mango sticky rice I've ever had! Sweet and cozy space/atmosphere with wonderful service. Can't wait to return and try more dishes!

Tried this place for the first time and was very happy with the service and the meal. The place is fairly small and the chef does it all herself. The ingredients were fresh and cooked right and delivered piping hot to the table. The spice level was exactly what I requested, hot but not so much as to overpower the meal. Will be going back.

We enjoyed our experience at YUI. You could tell that the food was made with love and that the chef was sharing an incredible piece of her culture and heritage. They had seating outside as it is a unique set up inside with the kitchen right inside the front door.We tried a couple of different dishes (Khao Tod Naam Klook, Pork Ribs) all which were full of flavor. We felt that the dishes could be a bit bigger for the price but we still loved trying out a new spot with such unique dishes and flavors.Definitely worth stopping by!

YUI is super-duper!! A rare U.S. Thai restaurant that brings the zingy, spicy, fresh, magical flavors that represent the best of that cuisine. Plus the space is charming, and the staff -- especially the delightful and talented owner/chef -- are wonderful. Go with a group so you can try the whole menu; everything is absolutely delicious.

Absolutely incredible, authentic, Bangkok-style Thai food made in a tiny intimate restaurant by a Yui and her Thai mother. Not only the best, most authentic, and flavorful Thai food I’ve had in Portland (I’ve tried sooooo many places) but maybe in the country. I have travels throughout Thailand many times, this food is the real deal. Phenomenal. The service is kind and homey - just not very fast because the place is packed and only has 2 staff members total, and just her mother cooking. I am blown away by the dishes here, my Thai food in Portland search is over, this is THE spot.

Absolutely wonderful experience!! The food was mind blowing!! Service was outstanding!! If I lived in Portland I would eat here everyday!! I highly highly highly recommend!!!Second time here and my experience was better than the first. Everyone needs to come here and enjoy the most amazing Thai food! You will not be disappointed. I am already planning on coming here tomorrow before my flight back to Dayton.

By far the best Thai food in town. My wife and I have had almost everything on the menu. All delicious. Some dishes tend to run a little spicy. I love spicy but others may want to think about ordering things mild if you have a lower spicy food tolerance.
