I always hunt for gluten-free/vegan bakeries when I travel, and Ida’s Cupcake Café in Redmond did not disappoint. Everything I ordered was gluten-free and vegan, and it was all delicious. The lemon cupcake with vanilla frosting was hands-down the best I’ve ever had—bright lemon flavor and a generous, not-too-sweet frosting. I meant to share it but ended up eating the whole thing! I also got a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting and a peanut butter cupcake with chocolate...
I have been a fan of Ida’s since the original shop on Galveston opened. I always buy the cupcakes (minis and large gourmet) for holidays (decorated accordingly). They are always a hit with family/friends. Favorite flavor cake? Chocolate, of course! Especially delish with the chocolate chips in the batter.
My boss has brought me a dozen cupcakes from there today, for my birthday. I am sharing them with my customers and they are absolutely delicious 😋
