Stumbled upon this place. It's for sale so we really didn't know what to expect. Great food and service. Reasonable prices. Appears to be a local hangout. Would go again

We ended up at the local dive by accident and boy was it a mistake! I am (obviously) physically disabled and had my service dog with me after trying to seat me in the outdoor "smoking cage" by the parking lot because I had a dog. I told them I wouldn't sit in the smoking section and offered to show them my service dogs ID they then "allowed" me to sit inside. Our server was reasonably nice but got our order wrong after taking it twice. After we said to bring us the incorrect order, another ignorant person (a manager?) came by my table and rudely told me that my dog had to be sitting. He was standing by my chair on a short leash (as he is supposed to be doing). It's been a long time since I've been treated so poorly at a restaurant, next time I'll go to the place next door and you should too!!

Cool location by the water but the building itself and the ambiance is lacking. They were understaffed and the poor young servers were doing their best but were obviously overwhelmed. We waited nearly an hour for our food, which was quite good once it finally arrived. The sidewinder fries were great, and they're definitely not messing around with portion sizes!

First off don't always trust Yelp it says Waterfront Restaurant is closed today, it's not. Started out to have lunch at another restaurant that Yelp showed as open, it wasn't but they were nice enough to recommend Waterfront to us and I'm so glad they did, it's off the beaten path and well worth looking for excellent small town good home stile cooking excellent value great quality food, homemade condiments like tartare sauce, cocktail sauce and french fry sauce all excellent. OMG Winner, Winner Fish dinner! We both had the Fish & Chips which comes with amazing crispy battered fish, coleslaw wonderful not too sweet, garlic bread and thin crispy fry's that were so good especially in there fry dipping sauce. Fortunately we're at Winchester Bay for another week so we'll be back!
Stopped by this place on a roadtrip and was so pleasantly surprised by the amazing quality of the food! The chowder was amazing and the shrimp were fried to perfection. We had the sweetest waitress and the other diners made us feel like we were almost part of the family. 10/10 would stop here again. The only con is service is slow but we came at a weird hour with only waitress working.

Amazing food and atmosphere, super busy the Tuesday night we were there. Would definitely recommend making a reservation especially if you have more than 2 people. But the food and drinks were amazing. They had a few good vegan options but nothing specifically vegan so you just gotta work with the menu and servers for that. I'm not sure if they were unusually slammed for a Tuesday or short staffed but our server Blithe was terrific! Amazing view of the water and they have bird feeders outside so you can bird watch while you eat!

Get the calzone!!! My husband ordered a calzone, I got the roast beef sandwich. The sandwich was excellent and loaded with roast beef, cheese and onions. But that calzone! Oh my goodness, so good! It's huge, loaded with toppings and so much cheese! We polished off the entire thing! Good, strong drinks here as well!
