Food wasn't bad but a little on the high side for price's

I stopped for breakfast on
my way to Portland on a Saturday
morning and found brunch
being served.

The buffet tables had waffles,
pancakes, sausage, potatoes.
chili, stew, chicken soup, and
much more.

The regular menu for breakfast
and lunch includes crepes,
omeletes, pizza, burgers, and
more.

I selected pancakes, waffles,
sausage, scrambled eggs,
and potatoes.

The waffles were a little
overcooked and the pancakes
were dense with not much
taste.

You will find a cozy century
old log cabin with a fireplace,
outdoor seating, and an
patio in the back.

Located on US 26 near Rhododendron with a small
parking area in front.

A nice place to grab a bite
to eat with solid food, a menu
with a number of menu options
for breakfast and lunch, and
a cozy historic log cabin vibe
with friendly service.

Unsanitary cooking, will absolutely not be back, made me wish I hadn’t eaten the food.

The food is absolutely wonderful but unfortunately the service has gone down hill. My most recent visit I was sat down without a menu or water and waited 20 minutes without anyone checking in on me. Unfortunately I probably won't return.

This was our favorite breakfast place at the mountain. We were very disappointed to arrive to a buffet with no other menu options. The scrambles were our favorite. ? I hope they change it back to the regular menu. Every couple that walked in when we were there turned around.

If I could give it a zero I would. Dead flies and alive ones everywhere. The kitchen hygiene is questionable. We went for breakfast and found that they were only doing a buffet. We paid $45 for breakfast and two coffees we didn't want to drink. Don't come

Service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable. The biscuit was one of the best I’ve ever had, with what looked like homemade jam. Yum! The eggs benedict was pretty good. An uninspiring little triangle of ham topped with perfectly done eggs. The fruit was fresh and well thought out. The potatoes were kind of bland and mushy. But not terrible. The chicken fried steak, however, was an atrocity. It looked like it was peeled off a tire and covered with gravy. No complaints on the gravy. It was obviously homemade - flavorful and well done. But what it covered was a gray chewy piece of washed out gristle. Like someone took old hamburger, mixed it with glue and stomped on it with their Keds.

I ate about a third of it because I was starving and fed the rest to a friends dog. And now I fear for us both.

Prices are a little high on the food, but the drink prices are wild. 7.45 for a large chocolate milk. I'm fairly certain my potatos and bacon were taken from the buffet they were offering based on the temperature, which is disappointing.

Kind of a bummer…Went in on Sunday to find an almost $20/person buffet style diner, semi- cold food, and waaaay too many flies.

The only positive is the staff was nice and they clear your table/dishes afterwards.

Erica was the only server on and it was super busy but she absolutely crushed it and was so attentive, she did her absolute best. The food was out freaking standing. I got the tostada omelette, it was perfect and their home made Belgian waffles were amazing and the home made biscuit is a must. Will definitely be back again.

Nice patio, we had there 10" pizza, I liked it. It was a sweet sauce with some tomatoes pieces onion and carrot. Definitely home made. I will try again.
