“One of my favorite dining experiences in years. Got here right as lunch started. Three staff members, one was making pizza, one was bartending?, the other was seemingly running the joint, getting fires setup for heat, taking orders, greeting folks, etc.The guy running the joint was overly hospitable, made sure we could get the pizza we wanted, chatted it up a bit, and highly recommended the cannoli, which we didn’t come in planning to eat, but it was the best cannoli I’ve ever had. Between the good pizza, great staff, and better cannoli, I’d highly recommend this spot”
“Excellent place, glad I stopped in! Never had artichokes and green beans in a veggie Omelette (plus peppers, onions and mushrooms) but it was awesome and filling. Great homestyle potatoes and a homemade biscuit with REAL tart raspberry jam to round it out! I won't be needing lunch!Although it was a busy post-holiday day, the server was extremely friendly and gracious and allowed me to occupy a window seat as I took my sweet time to finish up in the lovely cosy atmosphere!Vegetarian options: Amazing veggie omelette that was different from all the ones I have had in my life!”
“I'll never forget my First Mt hood roasters coffee experience. My brother took me here way back when and we made it a tradition to stop in and grab coffee on our way home from skiing. He now lives in Colorado but I have kept the tradition alive but getting a coffee for me and I send him beans. Love your roasts and homemade goodies.”
“Great atmosphere, great place to meet new friends and have a good relaxing break with a good selection of beer and food. I deducted a star because the girl working there provided me with one of the lowest customer service experiences I have seen. I didn't notice that a window pane was out, making for a walk-up ordering service, I was asking out loud to my friend how we ordered, we were not sure. She literally was staring at us, looking like we were inconveniencing her by wondering how to order something, never even said hello or anything. I was asked if I wanted butter on my bread and I said yes please. There was no butter in sight upon receiving my food. She had set the tray in the window sill, I wasn't sure if it was ready at all because she kept adding stuff to the tray. Then she just left the window, I didn't know if she was getting anything else (like the butter I did not get) but nope, she just walked away after the tray was completed. I had to ask if it was ready as I was confused she had turned away for such a couple minutes. She was everything shy of being verbally rude to me. One of the worst customer service experiences I have had honestly and I had been in customer facing customer service environments for a decade! A shame to see being she works at such a cool location. Sad. I still tipped, which I shouldn't have. I hope her night got better.”
“Best nachos on the mountain, so huge! They have affordable prices and the view off the deck is great watching people on the rope tow park. The day time lady bartender is super friendly and efficient. Only problem is some of the food runners are shy and instead of yelling out numbers they run through the busy crowd with food looking rushed. It's a loud bar, don't be afraid to speak up.”
“It's a pretty standard DQ. I've eaten here several times without any problems. Great for a quick treat! For the past three odd years this has been a takeout only restaurant. Would have been a five star review if it was possible to eat on the premises. I guess other than standing in the parking lot or sitting in your car.”
“Cozy vibe, excellent drip coffee, and my new favorite breakfast sandwich. Plus, friendly and helpful service. We also took a loaf of sourdough and a strudel to go and were so happy we did. Glad this place exists and will definitely be back!”
“Wow, what an absolute gem. We stumbled upon this place and found it to be the best food I’ve had up on the mountain yet. It was absolutely perfect. Everyone of our dishes was delicious. The kids love their food. My wife loved her food. Everything was great. I highly recommend the pork chops. For the quality of food, the price point was also excellent. This is a highly recommend, and I will be coming back here again and again. !”
“This was the perfect dining experience. Everything was just great. After a long day on the mountain we came here hungry and thirsty and were not disappointed. 4 adults and 4 kids. The guacamole was amazing, the margaritas were fantastic, the salsa flight was delicious and the tacos were the bomb. So much food and all of it was just perfect. Birria tacos…fuggedaboutit! Not only was the food great but the service was top notch too. Servers were so friendly and accommodating. “Can you put the veggies on the side for the kids?” “Sure no problem.” Can you do such and such? Of course. I highly recommend this place to anyone and I wish they were closer to home but we have something to look forward to when we go to the mountain.”
“I'm an RVer and do not hit northern Oregon without a stop at Koya Kitchen, it's one of my favorite spots. Great food, great atmosphere, and the owner Jolynne is one of my favorite people ever. Koya Kitchen is truly a gem!!!”
“Best Pizza! My family has been going here for over 60 years. Always look forward just to get zigzag pizza. Super nice people there! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Always wanted to try this place and finally took the chance on a little weekend get away. The atmosphere is so fun and aesthetically pleasing, so many cool things to see. The food was amazing. The “frickles” fried pickles were the best my wife and I have ever had. I got the bbq sampler with brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. All were delicious. The meat didn’t fall off the bone on the ribs, but they still tasted amazing. My wife got the brisket and that was delicious! There were more things we wanted to try so we went back for lunch the next day to try their burgers and they were delicious as well. My wife says that this is her new favorite restaurant, and I would have to agree!”
“Very nice coffee shop. Coffee came out great and the barista got our orders perfectly even with some substitutions.Nice art for sale as well. Perfect for getting a cup on the way off the mountain and back to home.”
“A hidden place to unwind with a glass or pick up a bottle to go. They have zero proof options, too. Limited food on premises, so you have their blessing to bring in takeout from nearby restaurants (we suggest Chicali Cantina!). Don't miss their Artist's Den, featuring rotating works by local creatives, or their collection of games to liven up your visit. My only wish is that they were open later!”
“Delicious food. Good prices and quick service! The Thai ice tea is an excellent choice with your meal. I now have a favorite place to eat up in the Mt Hood area!”
“Maverick burger is the best there is. If the world was in black and white, this place would be in color. Staff is great and fun to talk to. I will always love coming back here for more.”
“We try to stop at a different place each time on the way down the the mountain. The whistle stop is without a doubt the best burger on the mountain that I've had and I will make a Point to get in there for a shot at the breakfast soon.”
“They're back!!!! best pizza on the mountain ⛰️ . I can't say enough crust, sauce, and toppingsParking: Parking everywhere it's the mountain”
“We stayed in Mt Hood Village for 4 days and coffee brewsters became a morning routine every day. The coffee was great but the pastries were amazing. great friendly staff each morning as well. thank you for making each morning great for us”
“wow just wow Kayla was our server and she went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. Expectations met and passed with flying colors. Thank you. ps.....food was delicious”
“I thought it was great until 930 food still wasn't out..I waited for mine..but my friends were told to eat theirs in the car..kitchen was behind. we got that. but kicking out your customers when they have been waiting over an hour for their food...is not good business.. but a great Lil place if you get there early and they are not behind. Definitely a bitter sweet.”
“Was hesitant to come here because of the other reviews, but I cannot agree with them. It’s a great place with a beautiful location and friendly, helpful staff. The food was good - we tried stew, fish and chips, chowder, corned beef, etc., and all was good.”
“Subway, all of them are the same right.. I imagine this location handles A ton of orders as it's just before you begin going over the pass to central Oregon.. they're always out of something, other than that the staff does do their best to treat customers right.. I'll give 4/5 even though they're often out of a key ingredient.”
“Coffee is great. The food is absolutely amazing. Not just decent coffee stand food. The BEST homemade biscuits and gravy, amazing sandwiches, homemade soup and the best homemade hummus I’ve ever had.”
