I always have a great time here. The staff is always so nice and helpful. We did not catch a thing we could keep that day, but we had a blast because of the staff. A+ in my book.

Staff is great and honest ! We lost a buoy crabbing and paid the fee for it- it washed up a week later and they returned the charge.

Friendly staff! We come here for fresh crab every time we come to the beach. It's our best meal of vacation! Make sure you go inside to check out the cool Lego structures.

We spent two days here crabbing. The first day on the dock but didn’t catch anything we could keep. The second day we did a boat and we caught so many crabs and had 6 we were able to keep. Most of the staff was amazing except on the 2nd day one guy was super rude. But the rest of the time was had fun talking with people around the fire and on the dock.

The staff is helpful and sweet to my boys. We caught so many crabs right off the dock! I can't wait to go back!

My first experience here was horrible. They had two people working, and no bait. I ended up paying for old bait that seemed like it’s been rotting there for days. Something fishy happened also…I caught 4 crabs and 1 was really big, at least 6-7 inches. So I had them cook my crab for me and was told to come back in 20 mins. I came back in 15 mins and my crab was already out of the steamer sitting on the table. When I dumped the crabs out all the crabs were the same size. I didn’t see the big one that I caught. And when we ate the crabs, they tasted like soft shell crabs and I know I caught some hard shelled ones. I had a feeling they did the old switch o roo on me.I most likely will never go there again and
definitely do not recommend this place.

We visit Rockaway every November from Portland and rent a boat from Jetty for two hours which comes with four baited crab traps. We have so much fun throwing traps, boating around the bay looking for our buoys, taking in the breathtaking landscape and wildlife and rewarding ourselves with a crab feast at the end of our adventure. The boat is $120 for two hours + a $10 yearly license for every person over 12. You keep what you catch, crab must be male and a certain size to keep, we typically catch 3-8 crab in a two hour session. They provide the boat, gas, lifejackets, baited traps and bucket to store your catch. They also cook and clean the crab at no additional cost.

A few tips 1 - get there early. 830-9am will get you in before the weekend crowds and eating fresh crab for lunch by noon. 2 - bring a cooler bag with snacks and drinks. They have snacks, beers and sodas to buy on site but you pay for convenience. We have kids and boating around is always better when your boat is stocked with goodies. 3 - wear your gear. It's helpful to have waterproof gloves and pants, pulling up the traps is wet work. Waterproof boots and warm socks is a must.

We think that this experience is one of the best for the money on the Oregon coast. Our kids LOVE our tradition and we look forward to our time in Rockaway every year. If boating is not for you, there is an option to rent baited traps and go crabbing off the dock. If this is your jam, every tip above applies + bring a few chairs for chillaxin on the dock while you wait for your traps to do their magic.

Happy crabbing!!!

This place is amazing! Every time I get a chance to make it to Oregon, this is my go to place for my crab and oysters. One of these times, I’ll have to try my luck at catching my own crab. They offer baited crab pots of the dock or you can try your luck on a boat. This place is so cool! And I always get treated so well. I absolutely love the Jetty! Well done you guys, well done!
