So….this is our second day in a row here on vacation. Both days we had the lovely Bree and master chef Joe making our food. Yesterday’s food included clam chowder, fried dill pickle spears and a few beers while we waited for a pizza to go as we were going to take that to eat on the beach. Today was fish and chips, more clam chowder, jalepano poppers and a few more beers.
The food: Clam chowder was fantastic- ultra clammy without being too clammy. Lovely clam to potato ratio. The pizza was a half pepperoni half pineapple. It was pretty to look and delicious in flavor. The sauce was really good and it had an extra dash of herbs on top to really finish it off. Fish and chips- really good and decent portions! If you aren’t getting any sides, indulge in a 3 piece. If getting sides, a two piece will suffice.
The staff: Amazing.
Master Chef Joe clearly takes his job seriously. He is really good at what he does and you can tell he takes pride in his recipes.
And Bree….she not only is engaging, she is hilarious and fun. She is attentive and super sweet. She took care of us well and made us feel like we had already been friends for a long time. I really like her.
Ultimately, come for Joe’s chowder, stay for Bree’s heartfelt hospitality.

At the front I'was told to talk to the bartender for my order. The lady at the front was more concerned about her phone. I stood at the bar for 10min. When she came to help me she told me to talk to another server when I asked for food to go and a beer for the wait. However while I was waiting she did a food order for someone else sitting at the bar. Very poor customer service. I left after that and probably will never return.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. Our party of 7 came in at about 1:30pm, and we were the group there. It took a solid 10 minutes for our waitress to stop by. She seemed confused by us ordering drinks, and simply asked for our food at the same time. The drinks came out 2 at a time after an additional 10 minutes and took her quite a while to bring them all out as she stopped after each round to do.....something. The first food came out a bit later, but was just 2 plates. After an additional 10 minutes she came by and asked us if we needed anything else and we said we were just waiting on the other 5 plates. She hurried off, brought a few more out, then disappeared again. At this point we gave up and started eating before the food went cold as the last people in our group simply waited. I finished my last bite as the waitress finally brought out the last plates.

Great view on the patio, terrible food. Me and my friend each got a cup of clam chowder… the chowder was so thick, it might as well have been the filling for a pot pie. Stale crackers, underwhelming garlic bread. The fries were decent. The 2 people outside were talking about killing people, and then a man with no shoes walked out of the restaurant to smoke a cigarette. Family restaurant? Absolutely not. Wasted $44.

This place was completely unexpected but extremely glad I found this gem by the sea. We had our pups with us and we got to eat out back on one of the most scenic patio areas I've ever had the pleasure of sitting on with a lake and beautiful Forrest backdrop truly one with nature. Now for the food... I got bread bowl clam chowder, clam strips and a seriously killer burger on home made brioche bread as well the clam chowder bread was phenomenal. I would highly reccomend this place if driving the oregon coast. Thank you Hideaway for a great experience and friendly service. Also allowing our pups enjoy the time with us.

Went here 2 times and both time we ended up just leaving because the service is bad waiting for 20 + minutes and still did not seat is then after we finally got recognized they said takeout only and we figured ok that's fine then couldn't get help again so never will go again
Very clean sports bar like atmosphere with the best bartender in town. Newly added games in the back and a beautiful patio. Food was good. '70s classics playing. Truly a great place to share a meal with friends and family.

This bar caters to their "locals" even when their locals sexually harass young women. If you are a young woman DO NOT GO HERE! It is NOT a safe space for you. After telling the bartenders/managers that we were being harassed by a group of men they told us that we were causing a scene and needed to leave, and sided wholly with the harassers. I am appalled by the behavior of the staff and their willingness to blame my young sister and I for the behavior of older men (whistling, making faces, staring, snide demeaning comments, and worse). Please do not go here, especially if you have young girls or are one yourself.

Yesterday we came in with a bunch of kids and we were served very quickly. The food was amazing, and the staff was incredibly kind. The clam chowder is amazing. Open so is the rest of the food that we have will definitely be back.
