$16 for a dish is not cheap (per other's reviews). I kept the menu from 1 year ago and the prices have gone up by 20% or more. You could try justify the cost with the quantity. The chicken biryani and tikka masala have noticeably gone down in quality. The flavors don't seem to be what we have had there before. So you have to consider quantity vs quality.Bring cash, the card reader did not work.I want so much to give them a better review because they are the only place we have found within 90 miles of the coast that has Indian food; but this could also be considered a monopoly. This place rules. They have several vegan options, staff are aware of what is/not vegan, portions are ENORMOUS, and the food was great. This will definitely be a regular stop for me during coast trips.

I've had everything marked vegan on the menu, everything is fairly good but my personal favorites are the pakoras, Channa Goa Curry, and the most delicious vegan naan I've ever had. As per a lot of take out food, salt content is pretty high.

We ordered plain, garlic naan, veg Arya ke biryani, aloo mutter, pakora, samosa, samosa chat. Overall food was good. Good portions. Naan could be better. They should definitely ask if curry over the rice vs packed separately as that was one of the thing we missed.

Came here while on a trip to Rockaway. Between New taste of India, the Sand Dollar, grumpys, Old Oregon Smokehouse, and el trio loco, New taste of India wins hands down (They were all good in their own rights though). Best food I had not only while I was in Rockaway, but best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. I have never and probably will never leave another restaurant review again but I just had to say I highly recommend this place.

Best chicken korma I've had in a very long time. Seasoned to perfection, the rice was amazing and the naan.... I literally dreamt about the naan later that night. My only mistake was waiting until the last night I was here to try New Taste of India. When we come back in April I will eat here every night. Outstanding.
