Would have liked to have a couple more visits but we only had one. That one visit was a great dinner experience. Food was quick and tasty. Service was excellent. The outdoor dining is a great spot to watch the start of the sunset.
We got the rockfish “fish and chips”.
Great view of the beach. Food was OK. Heard they have the best clam chowder. Well, it was disappointing. Tasted like a bland cream soup.
Sauted shrimp had great flavor and went good with the Ceasar salad.
Goregous water view. It was wonderful to eat, have a drink, and watch the sunset at an outside table.
The fish and chips were too good! The chips were clearly hand cut and the fish was fresh. The staff was so nice and you can’t beat literally sitting on the beach!
Cute little place with outside seating as well as inside. Amazing view of the ocean. Plenty of parking and excellent service.
If you have a chance to visit Rockaway Oregon on the Oregon Coast please feel confident in visiting the Sand Dollar Resturant for a great dining experience.
It’s ocean front with amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. The Resturant is locally owned and staffed.
The Sand Dollar’s greatest asset other than the ocean front location and amazing food is one of their employees.
Her name is Gabby and she is an All Star.
Great personality, very friendly and excited to be sure you and your family have a wonderful experience. Please be sure and ask for Gabby when you visit.

Great food, not much space!

We came to Sand Dollar Restaurant & Lounge as a group of 7 (two families) and were disappointed from the start. They were unable to seat us together, even though we were part of the same party, and splitting the bill between families turned into a hassle.
The food quality was very underwhelming — it tasted like it had been reheated, not freshly made. For the prices, we expected much better.
What was most frustrating was the automatic 20% gratuity added to both checks just because we arrived as a group of 7, even though we were seated and billed separately. When we politely brought this up to the host, she was dismissive and gave us attitude instead of working to resolve the issue.
Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste — both literally and figuratively. We won’t be returning.
Had a great time and waiter

I used to work here as a lead cook, and I must say the owner, Emma, was the best boss I’ve ever had, in any line of work. She pays a very competitive wage for this region, and she’s very generous with staff meals and holiday gatherings. She balances the best PNW seafood with family recipes from her grandparents from Romania ??

Food is underwhelming at best. Drinks are pricy. Most items are expensive and ala cart. Make sure you don't need separate checks, once they print the ticket they won't let you split it.

Food was good, great choices and selection. Definitely on the pricey side, and the fact that theres a 20% gratuity auto added is odd.
The atmosphere was quaint, but the food again was good. Service was good.

We have stopped by several times. Always great food. Service is fantastic (quick andfriendly), the views are spectacular! Nothing better than eating a great burger with the ocean views.
