We eat at Tie Breaker quite a bit. We love to split the Prime Rib Dip sandwich with a side salad, and we like the Chicken-Chicken Fried Steak (split) for breakfast. The sausage gravy is great!! Service is always prompt, friendly, tables and restrooms are always spotless. Thank you Tie Breaker!

The food was good. When we were paying the waitress asked if we wanted our change. Unfortunately, she didn't understand that it was OUR money, not hers. When she came back she didn't bring us all that we were owed. We had to ask a second time for the money owed us. Who should have to ask multiple times for their money back? Absolutely ridiculous.

The atmosphere was good for our kids. The service was slow and our server seemed frantic and impatient. Our server also tried to kick us out to make space for live music and take our food and drinks away while we were still eating and drinking. I had to tell her twice to that we were still enjoying our meal after she already had touched it and tried to take it away. The server for the actual food was great and should be the one interacting with the customers.

We first tried another restaurant in town where the vibe matched its name, but then we came to Tie Breaker and received a genuinely warm welcome. The breakfast was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. This will definitely be our new favorite spot along the coast!

Had breakfast here on a Sunday. Huge omelettes! Great bfast sandwhich and crispy hashbrowns. Perfect!
We decided to do an early friendgiving in Rockaway, what a great little town. Tie Breaker was our farewell breakfast. Our server, Asian lady with blonde hair was not friendly at all and very passive, the restaurant was not that busy when we got there and she was rushing everything like she did not want to be here. We had to get another server to ask about a plate we never got. He was great and him and the cook made up for her poor service. Food was great.

Love Todd and Nancy's Tie Breaker. They are such a warm and welcoming addition to Rockaway Beach. They also serve up some excellent food too! I especially love the Brisket Benedict, the Hawaiian Plate and their Elk Burger.

I don’t know if it was an off day or what, but they were understaffed and people were leaving from their tables because of the wait for food. I get having an understaffed day but attitude can correct that, lady (assuming the owner) serving tables was blunt and rude. She snapped at customers for sitting at a table before she decided to point at a table and assign it to them. At one point there were 7 tables filled with customers and no one had food, people are looking around and getting irritated about the wait. When the food did come, it was mediocre at best but waiting for 50 minutes for 2 plates…. At spendy prices is absurd. But I can let that go. But the attitude needs fixing! When customers feel unwelcome and ignored, it doesn’t leave a great impression.
I’m a local and have tried this place 3 separate times over the last year and each time I’m disappointed. This place always looks busy at night, so must be a bar that poses as a restaurant.
