Delicious & friendly. 3 of us went for dinner and the food was great, the cocktails creative and delicious, and the wait staff was doing a great job. We started with the tostones (plantain), then had a variety of tacos veggie & pork, then dessert.

Not impressed with the food at all. Ordered a medium rare ribeye and it was well done. Rice and beans had no flavor. Drinks were average at best. I don’t expect this place to be open long. Overall spent $100 on cafeteria type food. Also, the vibe/atmosphere is very confusing. Not sure what they’re aiming for in a very competitive downtown Salem market.

I brought my sister here for her birthday brunch and was disappointed. The restaurant overall wasn’t very busy. One of our dishes was missing items and not as described on the menu, lacking both flavor and presentation. The tres leches pancakes were especially underwhelming—dry instead of the rich, soaked pancakes we expected. Even with only a couple of other tables seated, the food still took longer than expected. Overall, not the experience we hoped for, especially on a special occasion.

Wonderful service and fast seating! My meal came out at a pretty standard time (not fast or slow). Food was delicious and I especially enjoyed the plantains. Plating could use work but not bad.

I have fond memories of La Capitale in this location and it really is a beautiful space. We went for lunch today at 12:30 and were the only patrons the whole time. The best part of the meal was the mocktail which was delicious but also $12. I got the battered cod tacos for my main dish. The presentation was nice I enjoyed the flavors but the fish was a bit over-cooked. The plantains were meh and kind of expensive for 6 slices (yet there was more sauce and guacamole than would ever have fit on them. So like some chips would have been nice.) My lunch date got chilaquiles that looked pretty good. Overall nice place, good service, a bit pricy for the quality/quantity.

The space is inviting, open and with great decor. The food was on point! Special shout out to the Chicharrons....stop it! Just stop it! I can't stop eating them! Service was stellar. The bartender was knowledgeable, has great recommendations and knew her stuff. The owner stopped by and shared some of her journey and passion with us. What a delightful night!

Bland, bland food. I specifically asked for no guac on my tacos due to an allergy, but they still added it. When I sent it back, it took nearly 20 minutes to get new ones, and by then my table had already finished eating. Service was painfully slow overall—my friend ordered the hot cheese appetizer with chips, but the chips didn’t arrive until 20 minutes later, by which time the cheese had hardened.
The saving grace was our server—she was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely apologetic. She was fantastic, and I don’t blame her at all. The real issue lies with the kitchen. They either need to pick up the pace or hire more help. The drinks were good!
I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it.

It's great to have a high end, modern latin food in Salem. The staff have all been fantastic. It can be cold indoors so bring a sweater. The food and cocktails are incredible.

Attended a Tequila Tasting Event at Adobe …Wow! Wow! Lots to report on this relatively new establishment in downtown Salem (housed in the former Epilogue Space).

Now - Confessions first. I am allergic to Tequila - severely. This event was a work thing with hubs, his boss and staff members, as well as others. So no Tequila for me! Also, I confessed to the lovely Itzel Sagastume, Adobe owner along with husband Chef Diego, that I have never been a fan of Mexican food of the kind served in chains or fast food takeouts.

However! The Adobe has created a next-level, Utopian pipe dream of deliciousness that shouts a labor-intense, labor-of-love passion for turning out something more than just ”food” by the . I am unable to pronounce most of the menu (see pics of curated food cocktail menus). You don’t even need to - just drink in the gorgeous presentations and dive in. Even the herbs used (and there were many) that I use daily in my own kitchen from my garden don’t smell or taste the same. The charred octopus, which many people have either never tasted nor wanted to, is glorious all by itself.

The restaurant interior has been transformed into rustic elegance with light, bright openness, the service is provided by warm, friendly and efficient staff.

Graciela Gonzalez was the El Mayor Brand Ambassador hosting the evening’s Tequila Tasting - gracious and knowledgeable about all things Tequila.

The Staff working their magic were Cesar, as Server, Molly and Francisco at the Bar, and Ana and Ernesto in the Kitchen assisting Chef Diego.

Go! Taste! Enjoy! I promise you will return again and again!

The food at this place is phenominal, I have been here for both dinner and brunch, both were excellent. I must say their version of chicken and waffles was the best I have ever had.
