This place has delicious food. The atmosphere was a little difficult because there were 2 TVs dueling for noise supremacy. Our host was very attentive and the food arrived in a timely fashion. For vegetarians there is falafel and hummus.

Falafel was excellent - the best I've had when not in Jordan or Israel. The lamb was probably the lowest quality cut of lamb you could get. Service was very good.

So glad we gave it a try! The food was so delicious. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate, the lamb hummus plate, and the Tabbouleh salad. The food was out quickly and the man and woman were so lovely. We will definitely be going back.

This is THE BEST middle eastern food around. I've eaten at multiple middle eastern restaurants around, portland included, and none of them compare to Al Aqsa. The place may not be all modern looking, but the food is ridiculously good. Their rice is unbeatable, and their dolmas is just so goooood.
