We always stop when we are in the area. The kids get milkshakes. They love the Strawberry, Blueberry, and Vanilla. Pictured is the Short cake (Strawberry) so delish.

Great strawberry shortcake with ice cream and whipped cream too...

I enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake with one scoop of ice cream however, the cake was very dense and did not absorb much of the strawberry fluid and a lighter fluffier cake might be a good option. It might have been because honestly I wasn't the one making the order and I'd never been there before to ask if they offered a lighter cake.

best ice cream spot in the salem area by far. wish they were open year round. blueberry soft serve is amazing. todays strawberry shake absolutely perfect. definitely got to stop back at least one more time before they close for the winter at the end of the month.

Not all disabilities are visible! I took my friend here and they yelled "your dog can't be in here." According to the ADA laws he most certainly can. Lost our business for life. Rude

Don’t come here if you are ethnic looking in anyway. No greeting upon entering, everyone present actively avoided looking at us, and when I came up to the counter I was not acknowledged by any of the three white people standing behind the counter. I actually had to ask the cashiers “Can I buy this?” because they did not look up when I said hello. Two of them still ignored me, the third begrudgingly took my money. No thank you, no have a nice day, nothing. I didn’t even realize our transaction was over because she wordlessly handed me my crumpled bills without looking at me. Filthy, nasty, disgusting people.

Unacceptable behavior as a business owner to both the Aspinwall’s fruit stand & the Cafe 22 restaurant

I’d been a loyal customer to this local fruit stand place for a long years until today everything has been changed. I would NEVER go back again and I will tell my friends and families as well, I would let them know because the owner guy told me “GO AWAY & DON’T EVER COME BACK!” more than once in front of other customers. Could you believe that?!
almost wonder is that because I’m an Asian woman who could be discriminated easily - this is not acceptable business practice!!

I ordered a burger to go from the cafe 22 (next door front the fruit stand and got a receipt)
then I went into the fruit stand. I grabbed a box of peach, went to the cash register. This owner guy was the cash register (I found this info out later). I told him I would like to have a milkshake, too. He wrote it down and told me “a small size of the milkshake?” I said, “no, I want a large size please” as I ALWAYS only ordered a large size from this place.
he used a small calculator and told me total was $18.45. I gave him a $20 cash bill then he gave me $1.55 changes but with NO receipt, I did not pay attention that he was charging me a small size of the milkshake.
A few minutes later. I got a milkshake, It was a small size. so I told the lady who handed it to me. that , “I ordered a large size.”
she led me to the cash register, again, to the owner guy who made this order. He said, “you ordered a small size,” I answered, “no, I ordered a large size”. (Frankly in my mind, he decided a small size for me, but I wanted a large size to begin with and had never changed my mind). each of us repeat several times of what we believe should be right; then, he told me “ You are rude; go away. Don’t ever come back.”
“REALLY? THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMER INSTEAD TO MAKE IT RIGHT DUE TO YOUR MISTAKE?” I looked at his face and questioned his behavior. He repeat again, asked me to “go away and Don’t ever come back”...
I told him I would never come back again, but I will make sure to leave you a truthful feedback as what I have experienced today.
Very soon I found out he was actually this business owner including the cafe 22 restaurant.
I also learned who are his son and daughter. Fairly, they both are very nice people
no more words - clearly I am not going back to this place ever again.
hopefully other customers won’t have the same awful experience as what happened to me. That is not acceptable behavior!!!
Lastly, I’m still questioning. Why didn’t he give me a receipt for what I paid in cash??
I am an accountant. My instant question is can you report true income and your tax correctly if you don’t issue receipts to your customers???
