on September 30th 2025 at around 5:10 p.m., I went to Bentley's coffee in Albany to order two drinks for myself and my wife.
I had a $17.30 gift card balance tied to my account and just a few days prior (on 9/27) I was assured by a staff member that once the card was scanned the balance would remain on the account for future use.
when I went to pay the cashier told me my total was about $14 and change. I explained I wanted to use the gift card balance, but she said it wasn't showing up in their systems and "sometimes it has issues". I mentioned what I've been told the weekend before and that I was fairly sure I had thrown the card away.
the only response I received was, "yea, really sorry about that." with no attempt to help or provide a solution.
thankfully I happen to find the physical card tucked away in my car, so I wasn't completely out of luck. but I left feeling very disappointed with the lack of care and customer service.
mistakes and system issues happen, but how they are handled makes all the difference.
I've been a consistent customer of this location for over 3 years and it's very disheartening , enough to make me consider not recommending this location after all this time if this is how the customer care is going to be.
Hopefully it's just a one-off but I'll probably wait a while before going again.

If you’re reading this a need a recommendation our family favorites are: the perfect matcha, the tiger king, Oreo milkshake, cotton candy milkshake, the frozen pomegranate, iced cookie butter latte & the peach ring.
Drove thru here for the first time and we asked a worker there for his recommendations. Their cold brew was pretty good but their raspberry colada… honestly the best drink I’ve had in so long. Definitely coming back to get a 24oz of that next time!!

Arrived before closing, behind 3 cars, they told me I was too late & he moved the traffic cone in front of my car then walked off. RUDEST situation I have ever been in but I will NEVER visit, recommend or help this business when they are rude to a 1st time customer. Had I been there after closing or wanted something they didn't have but selling me a lemonade b4 closing would have been a better solution than being so rude where I am letting the world know this place isn't as nice always to every customer.

Pretty disappointed with the kids here today. They need a leader and customer service training. The coffee was as bad as the service. Getting a refund for sure. Hope this is a fluke because this place is usually great. Just a tip, don't put the grumpy people on the window.......
