on September 30th 2025 at around 5:10 p.m., I went to Bentley's coffee in Albany to order two drinks for myself and my wife. I had a $17.30 gift card balance tied to my account and just a few days prior (on 9/27) I was assured by a staff member that once the card was scanned the balance would remain on the account for future use. when I went to pay the cashier told me my total was about $14 and change. I explained I wanted to use the gift card balance, but she said it wasn't showing up in their systems and "sometimes it has issues". I mentioned what I've been told the weekend before and that I was fairly sure I had thrown the card away. the only response I received was, "yea, really sorry about that." with no attempt to help or provide a solution. thankfully I happen to find the physical card tucked away in my car, so I wasn't completely out of luck. but I left feeling very disappointed with the lack of care and customer service. mistakes and system issues happen, but how they are handled makes all the difference. I've been a consistent customer of this location for over 3 years and it's very disheartening , enough to make me consider not recommending this location after all this time if this is how the customer care is going to be. Hopefully it's just a one-off but I'll probably wait a while before going again.

Amazing Ginsu

I was in store the morning of Thurs 9/25/25.

The two employees i encountered were and absolute credit to your company. Sooooo friendly and genuine. My drink was made perfectly, in fact it was the best version of it i have ever had.

Im from Seattle area and was travelling for business, but will stop in to Bentleys whenever im in town.

Today’s closers were so kind to everyone who walked in. They were truly inclusive of everyone. And handled their orders quickly and precisely. I stayed up until closing (because I was not aware of the stores hours) and the baristas let me stay until the end with no issues. That was very kind of them and I’m very appreciative of them for that.
I recommend this place for their good service, tasty drinks, and nice atmosphere:)

Bentley’s coffee’s cause is that for every dog that goes into their store, $1 gets donated to an animal shelter, even if you don’t order anything. And of course I love this place because my dog is named Bentley and we talked to the employees and they were super kind and we laughed and had a great time. Would recommend!

My fave coffee in the Salem area. I like the drive-thru locations much better. However this downtown spot is fine. It's small for any seating for a meet-up or to do work.

I love Bentley’s Coffee a lot. It’s a must stop if I’m getting my hair done in downtown. They are pet friendly and have options for your pup. I think the coffee there is better than anything you could find in Portland, personally. They have amazing coffee and protein shakes.

Just ordered coffee from here and a customer who was sitting accidentally dropped their glass cup out of their backpack. One of the employees rushed to sweep up every piece of glass and her explanation was that they have a lot of dogs that come in and they wanted to make sure they got every piece. They then asked that every customer move to a different section while they swept up every piece. So far they’ve been sweeping for about five minutes and I haven’t been this impressed with an employee’s care in a long time. Great service. Thank you
