I've loved this place since I was little. I'm 40 now. The same two sweet ladies have owned it together forever. I'm 40 now. Always consistent. I highly recommend the Egg Foo Young, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chow Mein, BBQ Pork, Fried Rice and their Fortune Cookies. I can't really say anything about other stuff because I always get those. But it's so darn good!! They've done so well keeping pricing the same too. You get a ton of bang for your buck. I live in Texas now and I go there every time I visit home. Y'all don't even know how lucky you are to have this available. There's no good Chinese here. I miss Canton Gardens!! It was nice to have during our visit. My husband and I both went in HUNGRY! We ordered 1 dinner combo with 6 items ($16.95ish), we thought of ordering 2, but settled to share. We ate our fill, took leftovers home that we munched on for the next 3 days. It was all pretty good, especially the BBQ pork, egg fu yung, and Chinese mustard (whoo!) The gals working there were really nice, ambiance leaves a little to be desired (bar), but wasn't bad. Great bang for the buck. Note: their hours are bit wonky so check the open hours before you go.

INSANELY small portions and it was cold when I picked it up from the restaurant on time. So sad as this is the closest to my house. Definitely will not recommend to anyone.

There were a couple off flavored shrimp in my soup. The witness was very nice but the booth we sat in had dirty handprints on the walls, overall just not a very clean place.

In my opinion, canton garden is one of the best Chinese restaurants. Out of this world egg flower soup and pork fried rice. If you haven’t tried them, give them a shot.
Ya know.....We eat here often....And always dine in...But today we decided to order take out and it was TERRIBLE...All of our food was way over cooked and our shrimp was little pieces instead of hole pieces as always....and over cooked...Was crumbling apart...Sweet and sour chicken was the same way....Honey glazed beef was amazing as always....Definitely a disappointment considering how often we eat there...

I'm a really picky eater, so giving 5 stars for food means it's delicious!! Their combo with 5 items, plus beef broccoli and moo shu pork were all fabulous. The flavors were distinct and ingredients were fresh. This place is my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Salem.

Always a good time when i go to Canton. The owner is frequently checking to make sure everybody's happy. But you better be respectful because if you're not you will be asked to leave. I've seen it happen on numerous occasions. But if you're good people, then please check it out! You won't be disappointed!
