Tasty wines and shareable platters on the grounds of Chemeketa Cellars at The Northwest Wine Studies Centre. The tasting flight ranged from good to great. The view was beautiful and the staff knowledgeable. We bought two bottles of our favourite wines from the store.

I'd like to leave this review for my Chemeketa Cellars wine purchasing experience only. The property is currently under Covid 19 restrictions, so it is not open for events, only for curbside pickups at reserved time slots. We were not previously aware of a winemaking program at Chemeketa, but buying a 4 bottle sampler seemed like a good way to try something new and to support a unique educational program. From what we saw, without getting out of our car, the program is start to finish, from growing grapes on site, to classrooms for the students, to a production facility, and, finally, a tasting room and event building. The wine business seems to be equally about producing a quality product, and then making it available via tastings and vineyard/production facility visits. It's wonderful that the program appears to cover every aspect for training future professionals. The wine sampler came with tasting notes for our selection, and, so far, we've found the Pinot Noir to be bolder and more flavorful than many Oregon pinots that we've had. For me, who can't appreciate subtlety, it made for a wonderful, robust experience. I'm very much looking forward to a visit when the entire operation is open again for visits and tastings.

This is a beautiful location. I had no idea Chemeketa had a wine school. Very cool and makes great sense that Oregon would have a wine school. Beautiful views
