What started out as a great customer service gesture turned out to be an experience in “I could care less” customer service. I placed a $50 order for a friend who had requested Crumbl for their NY party. As I live an hour away, I called ahead of time to make sure someone would be available, as I would be arriving to pick-up my order right at, or just after closing time. I was told that they would wait :30 min after closing; I told them I should be there in time. Due to a rainy evening and traffic on NY Eve, I arrived about 5 min late, only to be told that my order had been donated to charity (really…in 5 min?). I pleaded with the young man to make this right, as I had called ahead of time to let them know I was coming. He said there was nothing he could do but refund my order?! What about the $40 in gas that I spent to get there, and the disappointment of all? Totally unacceptable!! What was the point of calling ahead? What a horrible 1st (and last) experience with Crumbl.
