I had a pleasant conversation with the owner when we had an unexpected encounter away from his bakery. It sounds like he's very proud of his business. I hope to visit and try his ham and cheese sandwich if I ever find myself in Salem, OR.

If you're looking for conchas there isn't a better place to get them in the Salem area. Anything else though be careful. The last few times I wanted some empanada, but they were less than fresh... Very moldy!

I did not take any pics but I can honestly say I've had way better "fresh" pan dulce. There was lots of pan, etc but it didn't taste or feel fresh.
