Fantastic food from appetizers to desert. Fair wine selection, and one of the only places you can go downtown and not have to worry about a lot of homeless.

Very disappointed in them feeding ice agents never going here again and making sure to spread the information disgusting and disgraceful
The food was absolutely delicious, the service was on point and the atmosphere was cozy yet refreshing

I took a date out here for dinner and drinks. There was a bit of a wait but what else should I have expected on a Saturday night. We both had a cocktail and entree, the appetizer bread was great and the cocktails were delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful too. Those are all reasons I'd suggest coming here, but there were a couple of lows to the visit too. The entrees were not as good though, for Italian food it had too sweet of a taste, both me and my date agreed. The wait staff was friendly and checked on us regularly, but there was a black speck on one of the ice cubes in our waters. We decided not to stay for dessert because the food didn't live up to our expectations but the date went well. If we bought dessert the price would have been closer to $50 but both our meals came out to over $30 before tips. I had a nice time but this experience ultimately fell short of my expectations and I'll have to give it 3 stars, I'm not likely to come back at the end of the day but it might be right for someone else, especially with the bar and the atmosphere but I wouldn't wait for a table to come again.

As always, Gamberetti’s is a Salem icon for local seafood/Italian style. We finally got out for a date night since their move downtown. The food is amazing, the service is top-notch. For a medium range restaurant it checks a lot of boxes. It’s a great date night place, particularly in its new location. My only complaint about the atmosphere (hence the three stars), is that our table was right next to the lobby of the hotel, which around dinner time opens repeatedly, and in this fall weather means blustery cold winds coming in to make it so chilly I wore my coat at dinner and wore my husbands on my lap. We walked out through the lobby of the hotel and boy, someone needs to turn the heat on. The only other thing I would love Gamberetti’s to fix is the back to back booth style chairs — they can be moved by the guy sitting behind me so I got pushed into my table a couple of times. But really, the service was impeccable as always and the food: Chef’s Kiss.

We were a group of 4. The food was delicious, our waitress once we finally got seated was wonderful and that is the extent on the positives. The atmosphere of the previous location at Pringle Park Plaza was much more desirable and the Albany location was perfect! With being in the hotel there were kids running in and out of the dining area being very loud like they were on a playground, climbing all over the booth and tables they were sat at. When we arrived we were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait even though there were many open table, so we say at the bar to have a drink at about 30 minutes another couple walked in and was immediately seated (reservations are for 6 or more) so we inquired and they just assumed that since we went to the bar we would want to eat there. Finally at 55 minutes into our adventure we were seated, it took a while to see our server and then once our order was taken it took close to an hour to get our food. Yes we did have time to visit with our friends and had good food but the atmosphere and the initial staff was horrible. They really need to do better!

The service was attentive and well-executed, but the food was a major disappointment. The calamari arrived rubbery and overly salty, and the Caesar salad was drenched in dressing to the point of being inedible. My husband’s fettuccine with chicken was a mess—overcooked pasta, clumpy sauce, and scattered bits of chicken that looked like an afterthought. I ordered the scampi, and the pasta had a gritty texture while the shrimp were barely larger than bay shrimp. Overall, the food quality was subpar. Save your money and dine elsewhere.

It was our first time at Gamberetti's. We had been meaning to go for years but finally went for our anniversary. I forgot pics but everything was tasty. We went on a Saturday around 5pm and it was hoppin'. It took a bit to receive our food but like I said, it was busy.

The pasta felt undercooked & not well seasoned. The drinks & desserts were good. I would go back for the drinks not the food.

Best Osso Bucco I've ever had. The meat had been cooked for hours and fell off the bone. The mista salad was huge and perfectly condimented. I had a limoncello cocktail which hit the spot, as did the sangiovese wine. Fresh baked bread was brought to the table. Great experience, run to this place. Great location downtown.

Met some out of town family here for birthday. Used to love going to the Albany location & the former Dalem location but it's been awhile. Very disappointed at the Calamari appetizer for $15. Small portion, small bits practically over-fried. Also not impressed with Shrimp Scampi. Thick udon like noodles which were good and about 4 medium shrimp you can hardly find. Red onions did not help the appearance of the dish and don't think there were any sundried tomatoes or barely any. Doesn't Gambrettis mean shrimp? You need to lay some huge prawns on that dish. Lasagna was super and still our favorite there! Other pasta dishes in our party were great! One person had the cobb salad but got very sick that night. Could be coincidence?? Went at 3pm on Sunday, only 1 server, but must have been 1 cook too because food took a loonnggg time. Can't imagine the wait after restaurant filled up. Server was sweet & wonderful but ridiculous wait. I hope the feedback helps. Will be back.

This used to be our favorite restaurant in town before they relocated. Now however I feel like they have taken a significant step backwards.
The entrees felt oilier and lacked some of the expected flavor that they had before. Protein was scant and did not feel like a fair price both in terms of amount and in preparation.
Previously the atmosphere felt cozy, intimate, noisy at times sure, but otherwise felt like it had some class to it. I feel like they've taken a downgrade into a run of the mill restaurant atmosphere. The space is loud, bright, but far from intimate.
I'm sure an element of this is nostalgia for what they were before, but ultimately I left feeling disappointed. They've gone from feeling like affordable classy to pricey casual.
