I rediscovered this shop recently since I moved a little closer and it's more convenient. I purchased a lemon cheesecake for my brother's birthday. Spendy but made to order. It was delicious. I wish they offered a smaller size though. I only had 6 people to feed and this cheesecake was for 12 or more. They were kind enough to give me leftovers boxes with my order to help with that. Another day last spring I popped in on a whim for a slice of birthday cake and decided to stay for lunch. I had their quiche and fresh fruit. Both were wonderful. Seriously the fruit cup was the best I've ever had or seen. I took my slice of cake to go and it was great too. Moist, creamy and too much to eat in one sitting. It was great the next day too. The last time I went in July for my actual birthday and it was just an ok experience. I had the chicken salad sandwich and fruit cup. The chicken salad does remind me of an old fashioned recipe that is very blended not chunky but not pureed either. It was a little over salted but otherwise basic, I thought. The fruit was fresh but not nearly as nice as the previous experience. I took a slice of seasonal strawberry cake to go and it was a little disappointing. Dry and meh flavor and texture. I really enjoyed the sliced strawberries between the layers and wishing there was more of that. I also got a slice of birthday cake for another day and that frosting was not fresh. Very crumbly instead of creamy like my previous experience. The customer service has been top notch except the last visit it took quite a bit before anyone acknowledged or seated me. They didn't seem shorthanded and it was busy but I've been in when it was busier. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. Hopefully my next visit is more like my spring experience.

This is a great place to get some excellent dessert. Best cakes on this side of the Mississippi-and probably the other side too!
They also have great sandwiches. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Always have had great service here as well. Stop in. Give them a try. You won’t regret it!

I recently went to this restaurant. While the food was good , they way we were treated by the waitress was shameful. My friend had only eaten half her sandwich & I had salad & half sandwich. With half of my sandwich left. We were clearly still eating and she asked if we would like boxes. Then we were ordering dessert and she ask if we want it to go. SO RUDE. I told her to harass the old lady that had been there longer than us. I proceeded to buy my brother his treats (I guess lucky for him he was already home) Needless to say I will not go back. I will also tell anyone who listens about this.

This is the place to go for cake! I had the flourless Black Forest cherry cake, which was incredibly rich, and a chai latte. My son had a chocolate raspberry cake. So light and airy and Delicious! My hubby had the German Chocolate Cake and he said it was also delicious! Our cake was served on glass plates and nice silverware, our cups of chai were served in ceramic mugs.

My first time here.
We got Brownie fudge and Lemon cheesecake. Friends got Strawberry short cake and Tiramisu.
My fudge brownie was excellent - took me 3 days to finish it. Very sweet and filling at the same time.
Ordered regular coffee that didn’t taste great.
Will surely go back, excellent customer service and atmosphere for friends to hang out!

Great dessert spot and lives up the its reputation!
A wonderful and consistently good spot in the neighborhood, the staff here makes my day, every day, and there's always a new selection of cookies and treats. Coffee is good, so there's no need to go elsewhere for that.

We have tried just about everything in this place. They literally don't know how to do a dessert wrong. This is our go to place for anything sweet. The cranberry cheesecake in the fall time if hands down our favorite. There is also a raspberry cheesecake bar that's to die for. And a coconut lemon bar. Everything. Just try everything. Everyone is always patient and helpful when we are trying to decide what to get and are always happy to answer our questions!
It's always a treat to come here. No matter what I get, the desserts are amazingly delicious and the service consistently awesome. Just picked up the lemon blueberry cheesecake for a celebration today; I'm not usually a lemon in dessert fan but OMG the cheesecake was perfect. Not too sweet, perfect crust, and the right balance of lemon to blueberry. I look forward to my next visit <3
