Spent $48 on two plates and fries. Neither of the pork plates came with rice which I thought they would for $20 a plate. Food was good not worth the price for the amount I got

NOT AUTHENTIC. Crunchy chicken. But ZERO FLAVOR. The macaroni salad was also bland. AND kinda pricey at nearly 20 bucks for a plate at a food cart, is kind of ridiculous.. especially since a quarter of it is just white rice

Okay, here's our experience. The food didn't look like the pictures. I order the kalua fries and it was very meh. It didn't have sauce, and the pork was good but there was barely any there. I wanted to share this so I was expecting a full food container cuz that's what's pictured but not what I got. We ordered a side of mac salad and omg thats bland. We order the Spam Musubi, and it was sad. I understand that spam has gotten expensive but you're charging well enough to put a proper serving. It was way too much rice and the seaweed did not taste fresh. I deconstructed it. So I'm still on the look for a good Hawaiian food is Salem. We won't order from there again.

Slapping Costco Teri sauce over everything does not make Hawaiian food. Sorry but the food was bad. Smallest mutsubi ever and the. Nori was stale. Kalua pig no flavor just shredded pork with Teri sauce on top!

Lots of different food options (there is even have a sushi truck), plenty of seating. We tried the Indian and Mediterranean (can't remember the names) both were delicious! Can't wait to try some of the other trucks.

44 dollars for two plates is bold, reluctantly me and my wife were made to wait 30 minutes for the katsu chicken. Once our food came out, the katsu chicken was slightly dry but had good flavor. The hula chicken was balanced, crispy, and seemed fresh. That day they had bbq short ribs, the quantity was tiny (for a $3 surcharge as well) and most of what was on my plate was actually straight bone. I've never had an experience quite like it, considering there wasn't even that much meat on there to begin with. The rice was mushy and way overcooked, a big glob of mush was in the middle of my serving. Mac salad had a really really strong mayonnaise taste that me almost gag, personally this Mac salad wasn't what I remembered from local Hawaiian restaurant in Portland owned by families, this one was far too soupy and pungent.Usually in situations like this quantity over quality is the name of the game. Not only did the taste disappoint, so did the price. In conclusion, HAWAIIAN TIME IS BETTER !

Born and raised in Hawaii but I’ve seen lots of local places come and go from Salem. When I saw your menu I was excited for some of the products because it looked authentic. Unfortunately have to give the same advice as I’ve given for years. If you want good local food you gotta go up to Portland.

Spam musubi isn’t hard. Whatever that was, was overpriced AND had terrible proportions of rice to spam. What’s with all the sauce? Gotta cook the spam in the sauce, not drench the rice in it :/ And where’s the furikake? Crazy man. I’ve seen so many different variations of musubi from different restaurants and 7-11’s. This was the worst :(

Finally, the katsu was burnt. I’ll admit the sauce was good and a the few pieces that were edible were decent but yeh. The rice was also overcooked and slimy almost. Cmon man. The recipes and desire is there but my mom was disappointed and I was too. I also got the wrong drink…I ordered a Strawberry Guava (which was spelled wrong on your Doordash menu — should have been my first warning) and got the Pineapple Orange instead.

So hard to find good local food. Please represent the islands a little better 🥲

Waited 40 minutes for food, was told 25 minute wait. Idk how you mess that up. Over priced.
