Really enjoyed our experience here. The food was really yummy and the owner took time to share with all of us about the Ethiopian coffee preparation traditions. It was a unique and lovely time.

Delicious and unique! We went for lunch and got the lentil sambusas and the vegetarian platter (they were out of several meat dishes). Everything tasted great and watching them make the coffee was really interesting - maybe we’ll try that next time. The staff was super nice and the location is very easy to find and has lots of parking.

The incense was a little intense for my asthma, but we were able to sit at a table far enough away that it didn't bug me. The food was amazing and the server was attentive and kind. I'm definitely going back for more.

I didn’t get a photo because it was too delicious to wait! I got the Awdamet Gursha and split it with my boyfriend. It serves 2-3 people, and it was nearly too much for the two of us. The flavor is strong and delicious, not spicy at all (to our tastes). Our hostess was kind, and the atmosphere was great. There was a small shrine on the floor, and the aroma of incense in the air. I highly recommend Gursha Eats, and I will be coming back for the Baklava!

I love that Salem has an Ethiopian restaurant! A little culture goes a long way. The Gursha was definitely worth it! Tons of food and everything so fresh! We really liked the Lentil Sambusa’s too! Our food came out quickly and the service was extremely friendly and welcoming. There was tons of parking and it’s free too. I need to come back and try the coffee now!

We had dinner here with my family last week and had a really great experience. The owner was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was attentive and transparent, and the food was absolutely delicious (Derek Tibs, Awaze Tibs, and veggie Combo). Everyone was taken care of. It’s such a great new spot and definitely worth checking out. We’ll be back!

The food here is very delicious! I really enjoyed the Awaze Tibs! The meat felt like high quality, and it was incredibly flavorful. The collard greens were also so good. I am not the best with spice but everything I tried was just so good.
It is served the traditional way- no utensils. It was first time eating with the injera, and it was very yummy! If you have a hang up, don’t let that stop you from enjoying really great food.

I would definitely recommend this place!

Best ethnic food experience ever! I enjoyed the entire meal and left nothing to waste. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is even more pleasant. I especially loved the coffee and the sharing of traditions and customs with the customers. I wish I could eat here weekly. The collard greens were phenomenal along with all the other flavors on my plate. I am so pleased to have had the pleasure of trying Gursha Eats and I can’t wait to return. I’m so happy with my meal that I decided to leave this review before even leaving the establishment and that says a lot cause I never leave reviews.

Ethiopian food is one of my long-time favorites. I have made it a point to try it when traveling. I have had Ethiopian food in Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Tucson, Austin and D.C. and Gursha Eats is without a doubt the best I've ever experienced. Fresh, bright flavors and rich after-meal coffee create an astonishing dining experience that raises the bar for ALL restaurants. Food did not last long enough to attach a photo for the review.
