The lady is always mad and the food taste has gone downhill in my opinion

The owner is very hospitable. I thought our orders will take long because they were short staffed but we got it pretty fast! And food is great! Did not disappoint!

Not bad

Terrible! Fried rice was stale and flavorless, chicken was overly processed mush, crab cheese puffs had almost no filling. I did like the chowmein it was vegetable based with no noodles. I was excited to try this place based on their great reviews and was very disappointed! Pass on this place.

A classic with the same owners for 30 years. Try one of the green bean dishes

Kuong Chan's has been my favorite Chinese restaurant in Salem for many years. Try the Salt & Pepper Shrimp and Mongolian Beef. They're both great!

Ordered beef low mein and chicken broccoli. Both were delicious. Normally I order the pepper salted shrimp, but felt like trying something new. Am glad I did!

I have driven past here almost daily for several years and finally decided to give them a try for lunch the other day. I was not disappointed! I was seated right away and offered tea. Everything came out quickly and was hot. The portion sizes are on par with every other Chinese restaurant I’ve gone to, but the chow mein is the best I’ve had! I am a garlic lover, and I could see the minced garlic in the vegetables. The breading on the sweet and sour pork was perfectly done, though I would have liked more of the sauce (personal preference, my husband would have thought it was just right). Prices are reasonable, and I will definitely be back. I’m disappointed I haven’t tried them sooner!

Not the best, but okay. The food was pretty flavorless, even the house specials marked "spicy" were blah.Service was friendly, but not helpful. Not very clean either. On the bright side it was empty.

I have been eating there off and on for years now, and it is one of the finest Chinese restaurants in Salem (Oregon). The food is superb and always well-cooked. The restaurant itself has an attentive, family-style feel to it that is unpretentious and very casual. It is one of those unheralded gems of a place that are worth experiencing; most especially for the food itself, because that's what it's all about - the wonderfully delicious Chinese food !
