Recommended dishes: Chips and Salsa and Bean Dip
I was immediately impressed with how quickly our chips and dips arrived along with waters and drinks. The salsa was great. Very tasty.
Our meals were with mixed reviews. I had the combination plate with my usual Chile Relleno and I tried the pork tostada. The relleno was terrible. It is supposed to be an entire poblano pepper filled with cheese, then lightly dipped in egg batter and deep-fried. Mine was a square piece of pepper with cheese on top and absolutely covered in egg batter. It was more like an omelet with a little bit of pepper and cheese. It was awful. I was highly disappointed. I was grateful to have had the tostada available to eat, though. The rest of our table ordered large plates that came with tortillas. The tortillas here used to be the best, so tasty. These flour tortillas were thick and bland. No flavor. That was also a little sad. The rest of the meals were okay. Lots of food, but just not as tasty as they were before the name change.
Lastly, I informed the waiter in the beginning whose birthday it was we were celebrating tonight, but nothing was done. No birthday wishes or singing, etc. We did hear another table where the birthday individual was celebrated by staff. Our waiter was nice and prompt, just likely forgot. That was a little bit disappointing. Unfortunately, we won't return. We'll make the trek to our Tried and True La hacienda Real for next time.

Nice atmosphere. Great service. I ordered a big chicken burrito with rice. It was very good, except I wasn't wild about the green sauce. Had a bit of a sour taste... probably from lime or something. The burrito was great though.

Weirdest chili relleno I've ever had! It was more like an omelette...way too much egg for me. There is only beef and chicken tamales and they were truly uninspired. Not only that, they over microwaved them to heat them and the ends were crunchy and tough. The cook needs lessons.
