I miss coming to Boones but like, the old Boones. The patio is so chill and the dining room is comfortable. Food is consistent for a McMinamins, but dang, our server was condescending. We even like tried to make excuses like oh she must be busy or had a hard day but she just kept making unnecessary side comments and seemed really put out for us to want to put our whole order in at once or ask for a pitcher of water so she didn't have to keep coming back. I paid for dinner at the end because it was a friend's birthday and she read the total out loud to the table. When I tried to break tension and joke like hey you're not supposed to tell people she repeated it louder while staring at me. Wow. Okay rude. The Salem food scene has evolved too much and we have too many more options for me to want to go back for good burgers with rude servers.

This used to be our favorite location to go to. The past three times we have come in has been awful service. What has been occurring is they welcome you in then ignore your presence until 15+ minutes goes by. You have to try to wave them down and hope they don’t snap at you. This last time it was pretty dead and the servers were just hanging out behind the bar on their phone. A big group came in and they looked at us, walked past, and started working with the group. We walked out. We won’t be back and it’s truly unfortunate. We have so so many good memories over the years. Disappointing.

I had a turkey sandwich & it was very good. I love my fries VERY crispy. And even though I asked for that, they weren't at all. BUT! Everything else was great. Coffee was excellent!
Kid-friendliness: Yes, lovely ambiance, & quiet.
Wheelchair accessibility: It might be a little tricky to wheel between tables. The booths do not have room for a wheelchair at the end of a booth, but open tables are available. Also, they have outside seating, & can start a fire if it's cold. But it's not enclosed.

Frankly this was the least enjoyable McMenamins I have been to. Felt more like an overpriced dive bar than the cozy quirky vibe that made me get one of their passports in the first place. The staff and manager were unpersonable, and more concerned being “right by corporate standards” then making this a location worth visiting again. Saying someone is wrong in your customer service voice doesn’t improve the atmosphere one bit. The manager went out of her way to show on the website where the policy was written after I had already accepted that the other locations are more lax and better at customer service. Overall seems like a bad policy, and going to have to reconsider if it is worth getting the rest of my passport stamps (I am halfway through).
I got a hammerhead and some fries. The hammerhead was fine, but the pour had too much head. I ordered a small order of fries but the waitress didn’t bother telling me they only have 1 size for the fries at that location. The fries tasted stale like they were sitting around for an hour before I got there. I couldn’t finish them.
Anyone just trying to get your passport stamps I would not recommend stopping for lunch. Just get your stamp and leave. It will be more like a bad Red Robin than something worth your time.
Visiting from out of town and this location didn't miss. Our waitress was so kind, funny and accommodating. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was clean and cozy.
