A very charming and traditional spot that feels like a cozy step back in time. The decor is definitely outdated, but in a way that adds to its character rather than taking away from the experience. The pizza was delicious, and the calzone had great flavor though I do wish the dough had been a bit thinner. Still, everything tasted fresh and homemade. Overall, a solid 4-star experience and a lovely place for a comforting meal.
Best pizza and calzone in Salem! I've been coming here for pizza and occasionally for the calzone for over 20 years. It's a great place for lunch on this side of town. They have a fantastic individual pizza that's perfect size for lunch. Occasionally when I'm really hungry the Michelangelo's Calzone will definitely fill you up. It comes with a side of garlic bread too. I don't experiment once I find something I love. But, my coworkers claim the meatball...
Great small independent pizza and pub. Pizza crust not too thin, not too thick. Spicy sausage, pepperoni. Just the way I like it. Staff is older, but helpfull and curtious. We will go thete again the next time we are in Salem.
