Momiji Japanese Restaurant

Came in and sat at the counter for a quick serving of nigiri. Was promptly served and the check was ready as soon as I was done. Sushi was great and service was great. Will come back.

Do not recommend anymore. They used to be a great establishment. Not so much anymore. They are more focused on the door dash orders than their sit in customers. Waited over a half an hour for two rolls while my family ate their meal. When I told them to cancel the rolls they threw a fit and pretended they were being made. There were four chefs and no one knew when they could get to making them. The restaurant wasn’t busy, only four other tables. We were seated next to the fold out table that they assemble to go orders lol. There were three waitresses, and they couldn’t keep up lol. Shared my experience with a friend and they had the same experience a few days earlier. What a shame and disappointment. Hopefully the loss in sales, no tip, and losing a customer allows them to realize the damage they are causing. But I doubt it.

Quite possibly the worst Japanese food I have ever eaten. Poor quality ingredients, off-tasting sauces, and sloppy presentation - look at the rolls just randomly thrown on the plate. The young lady serving us was nice and efficient and the donburi was pretty good. Miso soup had almost no flavor. Eel roll inedible. Salmon was so thin and overcooked, it was like eating overcooked, teriyaki soaked, jerky.

I really liked the sushi here it was tasty and seemed fresh. I'd recommend the tuna. Even my kids liked it!

I am very dissatisfied with the customer service, they are very rude to customers, they are not very attentive to you, they can throw sushi, pour sauces, I do not recommend going there in its pure form, it is a dump

Not all that great, okayish, but below average quality. Fish didn't seem fresh and was low quality. Rice was falling apart and was small grain. Menu has no prices listed and it's not that kind of a place where the price won't matter. Costs about the same as others. But several other sushi places in town are much better. Can't recommend this one.

Sushi was delicious. The Oregon salmon roll is my favorite. Would highly recommend.

I just came in to pick up a DoorDash , This blonde host comes in with the most rude attitude And she doesn’t even greet us. She says, are you here for a DoorDash And then made us wait And then threw it on the counter and walked away. Terrible service I didn’t catch her name, but she was blonde and rude.

Placed an order for some jalapeno rolls. When I got home the order was not correct and when we call d about it the woman at the establishment hung up on us. Definitely will not be back to this location!

First stay in Salem. Discovered this nice Japanese restaurant. Nice ambiance and friendly service. Food was very good. We'll be coming back here.

One of the best sushi places I've found in the area!! I have been going like every week for the past few months and the staff are always so welcoming. Also, the chefs are sweet and hardworking people. They make me a cute sliced up orange that looks like a bear every once in a while🤣 🍊🧸 Highly recommend if you like loaded sushi😏
