After a long walk near the river front, I stopped here for lunch with my friend. We both had pecan crusted sole over lime-flavored basmati rice and served with petite green beans seasoned and steamed perfectly. It was delicious!
The service was excellent but the food was only ok. The steelhead trout was a hit but the surf and turf was not. The steak was tough and the prawns...oh my...barely large enough to even call shrimp. The location was also not ideal being right up tight to I5. Overall I have to give a thumbs down if you're looking for a couple's night out.
Whenever I stay in Salem I always come here for dinner. The happy hour menu has a lot of variety and everything that I've had on it has been very good. The fish and chips is a winner for me!
Traveling through and looked for a nice restaurant for dinner. Almost didn't stop here because of some negative reviews. So glad we didn't listen and stopped! None of the negatives were true: a hostess greeted us immediately, service was quick, server was delightful, and food was delicious! Highly recommend.
Food was great. Had the fish taco and stuffed mushrooms during the happy hour. Would recommend for sure.
Food was fabulous. Service was wonderful. I recommend this to everyone.
$138 for a family meal for 3 people including a child. No host to greet us when we arrived. So we just kinda wandered around until she showed up. All 3 of us agreed that the food was all over-salted. My son couldn't finish his meal because the calamari was way too salty. Only 1 decent draft beer on the menu from Ninkasi. The steaks were chewy & lower quality than expected. The steelhead was tasty but over-cooked. My wife's steak was stringy & she had trouble cutting through it with a steak knife. The razor clams were tiny, the smallest I've ever seen in 40 years, very mushy & tasted terrible; & I love razor clams normally. The “prawns†on a skewer were actually tiny shrimp. Even the ice water tasted metallic. You get 1 star because you had one good beer & our server was friendly. Do better.
Our new favorite seafood restaurant! We had a party of ten, and not one person had an issue. Every single person was thrilled by our food, and can't wait to go back again soon.
This was a step from our hotel and the food was great. The service was given with a smile and a little humour to boot. I had the Coho Salmon, which was cooked perfectly with green beans. However my desert is the reason i'm rating this little gem. It was a berry cobbler with a shortbread crust, it was the best cobbler crust i've tasted. The vanilla ice cream was an another good point to my desert as well.
Excellent lunch ! I had a french dip sandwich with coleslaw. French dip was wonderful. The sandwich was huge with melted swiss cheese. Beef was tender and juicy. Best coleslaw ever. Fresh and crisp slaw with tasty dressing. Just right! First time there but not my last! Their happy hour menu looked yummy. Will try it next.

Service....Warm and friendly
There just are not enough stars for resting this spectacular restaurant. Finest seafood in the western region, including San Francisco. Seriously, just moved to Oregon, and will be frequenting this Fine Establishment for many years to come!!
We meet our friends from Eugene Oregon and we are from Canby Oregon about every 2-3 months for lunch and catching up on are lives! Very welcoming hostess and great server. The food is always good and usually it is not busy so they welcome us to stay as long as we want. It's always a great day to meet friends and have good food!
Hot food was cooked perfect ( halibut fish and chips) cold food very crisp and tasty.
The food was ok, nothing really special. The clientele was mostly octogenarian. The atmosphere was mid century IHOP.
