Their lazy so they won't take your Info of Incident over the phone? NOT worth calling because they're in cahoots with the Security Guard Companies your trying to File a Complaint against?

It's a police academy, so probably don't visit unless invited, but other than that you can't go wrong with dorm living and cafeteria style food! The blankets are a little scratchy so maybe bring a comfy blanket and pillow with you to make your stay nicer. It tends to get crowded so if your roomie tends to snore or is flatulent you are probably out of luck, but I did not see any rules about not sleeping in your car so you always have a fall back. All in all not bad but 4 out of 5 because of the scratchy blankets.

Oregon the most corrupt state who victimize and take advantage of the most vulnerable populations

I attended here. I was in a training accident that ended my career and left me with five major surgeries. I do appreciate what they do. I actually think it’s a good place. However, they pretended my accident didn’t happen. They even deleted my training video to cover the lack of safety. Had they not deleted my training video, my doctors would have known how to give me better treatment, and I probably would’ve recovered enough to continue training. DPSST was only interested in not being a part of an accident that changed someone’s life forever. They literally told the press and me that I’m acceptable “collateral damage” for the number of cadets that graduate. It’s been a hard pill to swallow for me. I will end by say, be careful. If you get hurt there, they just might fudge records to keep their image. They did it to me. Had they not done that, I wouldn’t be trying to figure out how to survive. Financially and physically.

I'm leaving 2 stars because I took a class here, and found the instructors to be extremely professional, and very helpful.

I took a class in early April. I thought everything was fine until after 1 month I still didn't get the card needed to do my job. They had my correct address on file, but they blamed the post office for the lost card. I was then forced to pay an extra $24 for a replacement (to the card they "sent out").

Another month goes by, and I have to request another id. This time I was thankfully not charged. That one never arrived. Finally I requested a 4th government id. I asked that they send it to my company's local office in Tigard, OR.

Before they sent it I decided to take a 2 hour drive to ensure that I got my card. I didn't want to wait any longer, and not get paid to be an instructor. As I look at the envelope I see that they were about to send it to St. Petersburg, Florida.

Those in charge really need to evaluate their procedures, and make the needed changes. To send out 3 cards (almost 4) to wrong addresses, and blame the post office is unacceptable.

Took them over a year to send my cert to me, in that time I successfully took the Nakatomi plaza back from Hans, fought a mathematical wizard who took over the power grid, and caught a legendary cuban general who was trying to escape from custody. Oh also I was assaulted several times on the job and they punished *me* for it. DPSST is run by crooks and honestly it's perfect for you if you're a part of meal-team six
