We had a weird experience here tonight. We arrived and sat at the bar, and our order was taken quickly. The place didn’t seem very busy; it was maybe half full. We ordered the Cobb salad, which took about half an hour. The server asked if we wanted an extra plate. I said yes, but she never brought one. We then spent another half hour trying unsuccessfully to get the attention of any one of the three servers or bartender so we could order another drink. No one ever came to check on us or ask if we wanted anything else, so at that point, we decided it was a lost cause. I approached the corner of the bar to ask for the check from the same server who took our order. She asked where we were sitting. Bizarre experience. We didn’t feel welcome at all and don’t plan on returning.

This is our 2nd time at PS in Salem, and Alisha has taken care of us both times. She is attentive, engaging, and professional in a laid-back yet fun manner. Highly recommend the wings, burger and salads. We were excited to see Hundred Suns Gamay by the glass.
Any time in Salem, we make it a point to see Alisha for an amazing experience.

Lauren recommended and served some of the best drinks we have ever had. Along with her knowledge of the food/drink and great service attitude we had an amazing dinner. Thank you so much for the great evening. This restaurant clearly focuses on the customer experience and the management is obviously prioritizing that. 10/10 would go again!

This was my first time at Pacific Standard! The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was super fun. Lauren was an amazing server. She was super fun to chat with and she made sure that we had a really good time. Highly recommend for a nice simple dinner downtown!

Fun restaurant! We had Liz as our waitress and she was wonderful. Good sense of humor, helpful and knowledgeable regarding our choices. We really enjoyed her! I had the oysters, crab cakes & potato chips. All were very good. Unfortunately they were out of steamers. That was my only disappointment. Loved the wine on tap. My husband is not a big seafood fan so it was limiting for him. He had the charcuterie to start and the steak for dinner. He said both were very good. He was very happy with the ice cream and coffee. We really had a delightful time and I'll go back the next time we are in town! Thank you
Delicious cocktails and the baguette with herb butter was to die for! Service was excellent as we got to experience a new chocolate cake martini that our waitress suggested!!! Will be going back

The food was good not fantastic. The service felt a little judgmental. I ordered a steak rare to medium rare and got a solid medium cut of meat. They are not happy to see you. I felt that they were putting up with me instead of that they wanted me there.. overall a bit judged....

I thought it will be upscale place but it is more like an airport restaurant. Service is bad, low music, tv with sports?, lighting is bad- just the whole vibe is off. Also count your oysters ?- they skimp out. Such a great location/ building/ interior- how can you fail?? Idk I’m not coming back - go to Ritters instead.

I always stay at the Holman when I come here for work. However, I almost never eat anywhere outside of here because of how fantastic the food is. I’m sure there’s plenty of great places in the downtown Salem area, but the Bartenders/servers here really make the whole experience. Only time I haven’t eaten here on a work trip was when I came back from the hospital too late and they were already closed.
I haven’t had one bad meal nor one bad drink nor one bad experience with anyone that works here. Lauren is one of my favorites here and it was so nice that after not being here for six months, she remembered me and was happy to see me. They really take care of their customers here and make for an incredible experience.
Fair warning: the espresso martini may looks small, but they are serious when they say that they have a limit. Delicious and lethal; it doesn’t even hit you until you finish the drink!
And if there’s a drink that you want, that’s not on the menu or you want some thing handcrafted from scratch, just ask!
