Second bad experience in a row coming to this location. It was clear that employee working alone was not adequately trained and also was more focused on the show playing on the TV, stopping in the middle of cooking the food to turn it up louder so he could hear. Will be hesitant to come back..

Staff members are as friendly as any other place. And the food they do have is fine.

But this particular location is consistently short one to three ingredients whenever I order something. It's happened about five times over the past year.

I'd go there more often if they could properly keep their food supplies in stock.

VERY DIRTY LOCATION, very incompetent employee, ordered food, got to making it an out of most meat, very dirty vegetable area, cross contamination of employee with uncooked meat and veggie area.

Really bad. 1 person understaffed . I had a change with my catering orders and she wouldn’t speak to me. Wouldn’t open the door and talk to me as I wanted to move my catering order address and would not speak to me. It was so bizarre. Currently going to that address to get the food.Lol

I have a number of food allergies but have loved going to the pita pit for a while now to get 1 particular item on their menu on a gf wrap. It was the only place in Salem where I have been able to enjoy a wrap.
Tonight I went with my partner to order food. I got my regular teriyaki Hulu gf wrap. When we ordered I confirmed they had the gf wraps and we waited for our order. I was more than happy to wait as there was a new trainee behind the counter. When we got our food my parents got their order and I noticed mine was in a normal pita wrap. I took it back to the counter and apologized saying I couldn't eat this and asked if they would please remake it on the gf wrap. I was informed that they didn't have any gf wraps because new management had taken that option off the menu. They offered to remake it as a bowl. Once the alternative bowl was made we came home and sat down to eat our food I was surprised to find that both Hulu teriyaki items (the wrap and the bowl) had been made without the main ingredient, the meat.
Mistakes are made and I am sensitive to that, however there is no longer a item on the menu worth purchasing. Anything that I can eat on the menu I can and will be making at home.

Excuse me but, location is an absolute joke. Management is awful. (I noticed Location is actually up for sale currently on Facebook marketplace). Don’t waste money here. Everything’s broken and unsanitary. I will be shocked if this place is open much longer..

We went to get lunch for 5 wraps around 1pm. There was *one* poor gal working alone on a SUNDAY who was new. There were a few people ahead of us, so it took over an hour to get our food. We felt so bad for her that we left a hefty tip. I got a water because the soda and tea machines were out of order. An ant came out the moment I started to get my water. We could’ve easily paid less at a restaurant. We will not be returning. Poor management and that gal did not deserve to work alone; I felt for her.

Ordered today online at 11:30. Went to location at noon. Door locked. One emp inside completely ignoring myself and another customer outside. A little after noon another employee shows up and unlocks the door. Also ignores our question about if they are filling orders. At 12:15 I asked about my order. Attitude from worker. I stated that I had ordered 45 minutes ago and I was the only one there. He said “well you can wait another 45 minutes.” No one is answering phone but because I did order online they now have my money and no pita. Enjoy the tip.

This location really needs to get their business together. I have never been inside such a disorganized and poorly maintained Pita Pit. Mind you, I used to manage one. Not only are there hardly any staff working at this location, but the staff that are there are extremely rude and who have no sense of customer service whatsoever. The gentleman who helped me had headphones in while he was taking my order. If you are going to be a lunch location right in the middle of downtown, you need to be prepared for the business that comes with that. It baffles me that this location can even stay afloat. There is no way they are making enough money to do so.

Just picked up lunch right now. The staff were so kind and worked really hard during the lunch rush. I felt so bad for them. That’s the only reason why I’m giving this a star. Why are you understaffed during lunch? The food doesn’t look good and you’re better off going to an actual authentic restaurant with way better quality.

Don't bother on a Sunday at least. One kid working the place... no soda in the machines...no change in the register. Big fat waste of time and the kid just wandered around whistling not making customers a priority. Big bummer.

UPDATE--- I NEVER GOT MY REFUND!!!! I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!! DO. BETTER. PITA. PIT.

**DO NOT ORDER ONLINE - YOUR FOOD WON'T BE DONE ANY FASTER OR WAITING FOR YOU** AND THEY ARE AALLWWAAYYSS OUT OF SOMETHING!

Today is the 3rd time I have placed an online order, arrived 20-25 mins after placing the order and it is not made/ready. I was told it will be a "few minutes" - she had 4 tickets in front of mine - no way a "few minutes". I said "Really?! I placed the order over 20 mins ago!" Then was told "Well we got 10 online orders in so I'm doing my best." Ok and... you've been open since 10am! Another 5 mins later, was told by the other employee they were out of rice and would it be ok to make my bowl with just salad? SERIOUSLY?! If I WANTED just salad I would have ordered it that way!
I have NEVER gotten food from there that was the full ingredients - there has ALWAYS been something "out". How are you out of RICE when you've been open barely 2 hours?! Told him to just refund the order - I didn't have anymore time to waste and it wasn't what I wanted.
Stay away from this place - you will only be frustrated and it is barely "ok" food. Go one block down and get shawarma from Fork Forty.

I'm never disappointed with how the food tastes no matter what I order. There's usually a spot available for parking and during the summer there are tables outside
