Stopped by here on my way home, after ringing in the new year. I love knowing I can count on their chain of bars to be open until 2:30am, when so many bars close early now. I specifically go in on days Kami is working. She's always friendly and welcoming and she never fails to create a fun, laid back atmosphere for all to enjoy!! Oh and their drinks and food are yummy too!! I recommend the wings & fries/tots. Yum🤤😋

Don't be fooled by the outside appearance. It's located right next to a Safeway. This place is a nice clean bar that has a short but delicious menu. The drinks are a good pour. The music is at a low enough volume that conversation is easy. The only downside is that AT&T service is almost non-existent.

Sammies is a very roomey clean and inviting hangout in west SalemThe staff is very friendly and always willing to helpPossibly one of the best features of Sammies is the extremely convenient location right next to West Salem Safeway at the West entranceThey have rather large be and accommodating booths for the video poker/gaming machines with Oregon Lottery machines and have seven boothsI've always had a very nice laid back time thierThe beer is unusually colder then most taverns I've visitedMixed drinks available where the bartenders knowledge most any drink I've heard anyone orderNot really any well liqueur so I've seen them generally use the normal call liquors with reasonable pricesSammies is a nice easily found spacious clean place to g it when on a budget

I don't drink and I don't gamble, but if you enjoy these things, along with deep fried bar food, and sports games on flat screens then this is the place for you. People are nice and drink prices are better than any corporate establishment. I don't need to participate in drinking to know they have good prices. It's not like I have never drank in my life, I just don't at this point in my life. As for the gambling, I don't know at all, I assume it's same as everywhere. Throwing away money for the minimal peak in excitement while the wheels spin, followed by immediate disappointment as reality reminds you with a slap to the face that "the house always wins". But hey, that's just my opinion.. you do you and have fun doing it!
