Unfortunately this place has gone downhill big time. First year or so this was my favorite thai place in the area. The pad thai is okay now. The pumpkin curry is terrible(watery consistency, no seasoning), and the potstickers are slimy. Really disappointing as they use to be amazing. It sounds like they lost their cook

The food looks and tastes better than the menu. I was happy that the spice level was accurate and not weak. We tried the special mango dish and drunken noodles. Both were good. My only complaint is that the noodles were overcooked in the Pad Kee Mao.

First time here and got take-out. I live only 2 mins away but somehow it took me this long to visit, haha. Their beef pho & Thai tea are seriously among the best I've ever had! My only other favorite pho's are pho keizer and a place in Tacoma.
My picky 6yo daughter asked to try the pho (her first time) and really liked it too! (I put a spice level of 1, and it added a bit of flavor without being spicy at all. I'll probly try a 2 next time). And my husband thought mine both tasted good. We'll definitely be back to taste the rest of their menu! Their interior has casual tables/chairs, and decor is nicely themed. Saw a little waterfall with calm vibes too.

Finally, a place you can enjoy a Thai home cooked meal in Salem!
We ordered fried chicken/sticky rice and som tum. The chicken was made fresh (hence, taking longer time to perfect), the meat was tender and juicy, however the skin was VERY crispy. This was how my grandma made the dish! Somtum or papaya salad was scrumptious. I miss this unique blend of flavors while I am in the USA.
We also ordered pad Thai and pad ka praw which were all authentically delicious.
I was told this place uses palm sugar and no msg. Thank you! We are delighted to have discovered this charming (Sanae) Thai restaurant in Salem.

Passing through Salem we were looking for a good Thai food restaurant. We found a GREAT one instead. Delicious food and great & friendly service. The restaurant was very clean. The cook came out to our table to be sure everything was to our liking. We will make this our dining spot whenever we are traveling through Salem.

The food (tofu pad thai and salad rolls) isn't as good as it was when it was Hong Thai cuisine. The pad thai was oily and. The herbs in the rolls were minimal and honestly tasteless.
I also tried ordering the sweet and sour chicken but they didn't understand what I was trying to order. So I asked for orange chicken, which they understood, but it was soggy and inedible.

Very peaceful dinner with my mom. Pas Thai and Sanae fried rice was very very good. Also shrimp in fried was incredible. Would highly recommend getting your Thai food here, if you are in Salem. Also mom had lemonade from menu. Was good but is a bit on the sweeter side.
