A bit pricey but the food was good. Order at the register so nothing special about the service.

You order at the counter and they bring you your order but they never check on you again to see if you need anything. Food was good.

Found a table and waited for our server tell we were told we had to order from the bar. Would have been nice to have that posted on the menu or at the table....

We hadn't been here post pandemic so decided to visit again. It's defo changed since we were here last and not in a good way. You order at the bar now, our entree's came out at different times and we had to ask again for the sauces we ordered at the bar. My beyond burger looked really overcooked but weirdly tasted alright. Overall we were not very impressed and fairly disappointed. The sticky toffee pudding was weak, very little sauce and not sticky at all. 😢

I forgot why we never came back, now i do.
Average food, way over priced.
The only British about this place is the flag on the wall.
The food was very good (the English fish and chips was perfect), and the Shepards pie sublime. That said, we don't appreciate being asked to tip in advance while ordering at the bar, prior to receiving our drinks, food or any minimal service. The food was delivered to our table by a wait person apparently having an off day. Had much better service at Applebee's....

Overpriced bad fish n chips. One piece for $19 and it was soggy. Had way better off food trucks for less $$$.
We stopped once on the way home to Bend. Atmosphere was terrible. There was no food available. Staff was unfriendly. Will never stop again.

Love this place.
Parking: The amount of food served off sets the higher menu costs.

First of all we couldn't find the place. The food wasn't that good. It was hard to get service until the very end. The interior was nice though.

Oh boy... I originally loved Santiam. Best thing to do here is to order beers and maybe 1 appitizer or get cans and take them home.
When my husband I first moved here, we loved to stop by and get cask beers and food. The last few times we were there, we noticed the price going up significantly. I understand craziness in the industry, inflation, etc. But $55 for 2 beers and 2 appetizer is too much for me. I want to support locally, but that feels like quite a large ask.
Especially when employees typically talk outright about their problems at the bar and can be quite slow, even when theres almost no one tbere. During our last visit, someone sitting at the counter (an employee) spoke up to a question a customer had about a specific beer. Even after the employee behind the bar had answered. The employee behind the counter became flabbergasted, feeling very negatively by the comment (which contradicted what she said) and a few minutes later had packed up to leave. Mind you, I don't know if she was supposed to be leaving or took it upon herself, but my husband and I were also her customers and she didn't even acknowledge us or let us know it was her time to go and someone else would be taking care of us. She was upset.
She leaned over the counter to the other employee and told him that when he does that, it makes her feel like she doesn't know how to do her job and left.
The employee at the counter then got up, and made it every other employees problem that she called him out for she felt it was unprofessional.
I am a manager and have to have these conversations, but you do that in the back. You ask the employee to go talk to you out of sight of customers, or at the very least take one of the other employees OUT OF SIGHT and ask if you did something wrong.
But contuning these conversations in view of customers, especially if you're going to charge an arm and a leg for the reason we're there is icky.
Not saying we won't be back, but definitely not one of my top breweries to visit in Salem anymore.
Best to just grab beers to take with you.

Very little service. Ordered the British style fish and chips. Fish batter wasn't very crunchy, and I had way less fries compared to my dining partner(who ordered the same dish). I left my lunch still hungry.
Fries were fine, steak fry style, wish I had more. Definitely could get these at sysco or WinCo. Soda option is Jones Soda on the fountain. Wildly overpriced($24) for a fish basket at lunch. Even in PDX I could get that for $18 and it would taste better.
Didn't try any of the beer. I know that's part of the draw.

Loved the fish and chips as well as the bangers. You must try the Scotch Eggs too. Service was great and the place was packed. Good selection of beers.
