Place is expensive for a pie diner. This location has not had a cleaning in quite awhile. The building and parking lot is FILTHY while indoor dinning area is fairly clean its quite worn.

Portions are ridiculously small. I ordered the loaded fries. This handful of fries was generously covered with cheese and bacon, but there is no way it would serve more than 1 person.The chicken Caesar is 95% lettuce and a huge disappointment. The flay diet Pepsi just topped it all off.The server was super nice, but she may be the only one working...it took forever to get our food...Never again.

Service was fine but food was awful. Everything was visibly burnt and over cooked. It tasted even worse. My husband couldn't even eat his sandwich because the bread was so hard. The four year old wouldn't touch her Mac and cheese after one bite and after taking a bite myself I understood why. Not sure how you mess Mac and cheese up that bad but it was horrible, luckily we had snacks in her bag. No one took leftovers home, and let me be clear there were a lot of leftovers including one meal that had a single bite out of it. It's been a long time since we had been there after the troubles they seem to have after COVID with staffing, which they have more staff now. However, there is no doubt we will not be back because the food was that bad. When you can clearly see burnt egg, ham and English muffin. Why would you let that leave the kitchen? So disappointing.

Got charged extra for gluten-free pancakes, no other gluten free breads available. Pancakes were supposed to go with the omelet order. Waited around 20 minutes to get our order taken, it was not busy. Manager followed me out the door, demanding to know why I didn't leave a tip. Lousy experience.

We arrived at the restaurant and sat ourselves, since there was no sign saying otherwise. Once seated, we waited and waited and waited. The hostess looked this way and that, walked hither and yon but was doing absolutely NOTHING. I waved my arm at her with vigor. I even called to her, she not once acknowledged me. Still NOTHING. We were ignored. Finally after about 15 minutes, I got up, went over to the counter to the hostess, who by this time was just standing there, and asked her if we could be served. The look she gave me was not a friendly one. There was no apology, no smile, nothing. She gave us menus, took our drink order, and said she'd give us a few minutes to look over the menu. It took us 5 minutes to decide what we wanted. Then we waited and waited and waited. In the meantime, a customer who had walked in after us was served right away, and the hostess was over at that customer's table shooting the breeze having a grand old conversation while we were still sitting there waiting for someone to take our order. Finally, after my friend flagged down the waitress, we ordered our food, which took too long to get. Trying to get our ticket so we could pay took way too long as well. We will NEVER EVER eat at Shari's EVER again.

Waited 50 mins from order till food. Server came by once after 20 mins of eating to get a refill. Bathrooms are nasty. All pales in comparison to the nasty food. Burger and sandwich were heavily over seasoned and were thrown up after getting home from eating. Mac and cheese for the kids was noodles and slop. Nothing like waiting for so long for food that came from a homeless kitchen. As i sit in my bathroom puking it up i recommend that you eat anywhere else. Because you will need to eat again after you eat here so why waste the money? Over $70 for 3 adults and 2 kids. Seriously save your time and stomach!!!!

Stopped by Shari's this morning after my errands with my husband. It's been a couple months since we've come here & the times before we did not have an experience to brag about; we were just glad the food came out somewhat close to what we thought we ordered. Today was different though & it was all because of our waitress, Trish! The service she provided was very down to earth, straight forward & very helpful - my husband was able to order eggs & get them exactly the way he wanted. The food was up to par & satisfyingly good! The cook did a great job - unsure if this was also a recent change. The interior & carpet looked very clean, we're used to seeing this place more beat up so the change & improvements made since we last dined here was very noticeable. If you ever felt hesitant due to a past experience here, you should give it another try! Preferably in the morning lol
My husband and I came here tonight for dinner and I was very hesitant due to the fact several other times we have came here for dinner the service was horrendous. Night and day picking up takeout from this Shari's compared to the absolute disaster that is Shari's South Salem. Friendly hard working staff who had a smile and were very polite in asking if another pie would work as they were out of banana pie. The order was hot and packaged with care. Maybe South Salem should take a leaf out of y'all book and be completely retrained. Well done team!
