It pains me to make this review as I have been a loyal customer to Sushi Kyo since the first week they opened. I have spent hundreds of dollars here in my lifetime and that all ends today.
I ordered a roll from their $8.95 Special Menu and asked for it to have no avocado since I have a severe allergy. This is not the 1st, 5th or even 10th time I've ordered this exact roll, it is my favorite thing on their menu. It's always been $8.95, but today they charged me over $11. When I asked why it was so expensive they said it was because I asked for no avocado so it has to be made special, she made ZERO mention of that when I pointed to the specials menu, plus, that doesn't make any sense because when you order from the specials menu it's ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS put together fresh because it's three portions instead of one.
The waitress, who has been there long enough to know how often I order the roll was extremely rude to us when we asked what the deal.
With Akira Sushi and Sumo AYCE opening up across the street there is now no reason to ever spend a dime in this establishment.
Watching it go out of business will be a pleasure.

I got take-out. I LOVED the spicy California rolls, they tasted fresh & delicious with the toppings. Miso soup was acceptable, but not extraordinary. Order was ready on time, and quickly helped when I arrived. Will definitely re-order in near future since I live close!

This was my first experience going to a conveyer sushi place. The food was good. Prices per plate were good. The server was friendly. The only thing I had an issue with was one of the ladies that run the place was sitting at the back part of the bar, had eaten, then started to pick her teeth with a flosser. There are covers on the sushi, but still kind of grossed me out. If it wasn't for that I would definitely go back to this place.
We came here and sat down and for over 10 minutes no one bothered to bring us drinks or silverware while literally staring right at us! One of the workers preferred to eat their lunch across from us instead of help. Turns out, the one waitress they had working was serving the entire restaurant and they couldn’t be bothered to help while she was busy making some speciality item for another customer. Also saw this worker cough without covering their mouth while the conveyor belt full of food rolled past them. The food was awful. We usually eat over $100+ at sushi between the 5 of us. We spent less than $50. Still paid our tab even though the food was old and bad because that’s just the type of people we are.
Go to the place on commercial st in south Salem it absolutely blows this place out of the water!!
