Yummy food with a great selection. I appreciate the intimate booth seating, with the option of open bar space if looking to make new friends. I was having a hard day when a regular customer (Monica) took a moment to make it better, just showing the positive atmosphere and people that make this place so great.

Good array of options, all decent. Tacos and bowls are tasty. Plenty of drink options at this location too
Great spot. I stopped in for a coffee and had a genuinely good experience. The server was helpful without trying too hard and actually took the time to talk. He shared how he moved from California to Salem over 10 years ago and gave me solid, honest tips on places to check out around town.
The atmosphere is relaxed and intentional good art on the walls, not random clutter. He also explained that they host open-mic comedy and have bands play from time to time, which fits the vibe perfectly. It feels like a place that actually supports local culture instead of just pretending to.
I’ll definitely be back.

Great drinks and music
The wide selection of vegetarian and vegan food was a breath of fresh air. Lots of meals can be made vegan or veg. on request. We had the jackfruit tacos, mushroom-gravy poutine, and jackfruit rotolo— all of which were delicious!
The atmosphere left a bit to be desired. The lights in this place are BRIGHT. They could easily dim them 30% and be better off. There's also very little noise dampening, so it's an ear-ringing echo chamber in there. You get used to it after a while, but some acoustic foam could go a long way.
All in all, I was pleased with our visit, and I'd definitely go back 👍🏻.

We had a very good experience all around. First, they were nearly the only place open when we had a couple inches of snow.
Food was excellent, I saw (but did not order) many healthy options. The biscuits and gravy are a thing of beauty.
We had a very busy but awesome server. The whole place has a great ambiance and local-successful-small businesses vibe.

Horrible service on a really slow Tuesday morning. My server mostly ignored me, and when I finally got her attention, she was extremely rude. It made me question if she was racist against Black people. She wore glasses, and said her name was Sarah when I asked, but could have been lying. Won’t be coming here again as long as she works there.

This place is a rare find in that they actually have products like vegan mayo or milk choices with everything from hemp, soy, almond, coconut, and regular so you can really build out your options on things like smoothies or other food items. They have vegan sausage and vegan cheese too. The menus are coded to stand out for these types of meal choices. They offer varieties of things like Brussels sprouts, edamame, and even samosas. Fries, tots, and onion rings. House made vegan patty for those folks that don’t want the usual beyond or impossible type options. All these choices and more are small ways to show that they care and they’re all well made and delicious. The amount of drink options for juices, smoothies, and more are enormous too. The folks there are kind and accommodating and the portion sizes are great. You feel like you get a good return for your money. The atmosphere is really nice. The small touches with an actual lit candle at the table or the ceiling that looks like a sky as well as other ambiance decor were well thought out. There is a lot of room in there for seating and doesn’t seem loud or crowded. It’s a child friendly place that made your kids feel like they belong. Our last waiter even gave the unicorn stuffed animal its own ice water. They had a nice round of activities and crayons available. I mentioned a lot of vegan options and this isn’t a vegan only place but that also means there are substitutions that cater to almost every need. Pricing is very reasonable. It’s clean. They’re also open late and on weekends.

My friend and I met here for lunch yesterday and it was pretty disappointing.
We ordered the loaded Brussels to share, the pork tacos and a bowl. The Brussels were excellent!! Unfortunately, my tacos were terrible. To start, the tortillas were not fried at all (not even warmed), and the pork was dry and had zero flavor! My friends bowl was okay but lacking. For starters, the portion was TINY! They also didn’t cook her egg as requested (she’s pregnant and asked that the yolk be cooked throughly).
It wasn’t the worst but I definitely won’t be rushing to come back.

This is a fantastic place with a decent late brunch menu that goes till 4. The food was absolutely delicious and the smoothie as well. Service did not get five stars because it felt like they were rushing us to leave - they brought us the check way early, and then never checked in with us again. Not throwing shade, just an observation. Again, delicious food and will certainly be going back.

Celiacs beware: the menu is mislabeled and misleading. Read further reviews on the ‘Find Me Gluten Free’ app for more voices on this subject.
The cafe falls back on the statement that they’re not gluten free certified by a third party organization. In reality, this is true for most eateries around the world. However, to label items as ‘naturally gluten free’ when the cooking process is all but guaranteed to introduce gluten into the food is inaccurate at best and negligent at worst. In many places, this would be against relevant laws. Unfortunately, the USA has very lax rules regarding accuracy and accountability in menu descriptions.
The menu is labelled for those following a fad-diet, not for celiacs. Most items labelled ‘NGF’ are cooked in a shared fryer or toaster.
While the waiter was patient in answering my questions, the hostess was dismissive. They did give extra fruit instead of the GF toast (shared toaster) and potatoes (shared fryer). However, this left me feeling hungry afterwards which, for the price, was not worth it.
My eating companions (non-celiac) found the food to be okay, but not outstanding.
I know that the proprietors are very sensitive to negative reviews and post defensive responses on here, so I would like them to read and understand this message: your menu needs to be updated to remove ‘NGF’ from any menu items that cannot be considered gluten free because of the cooking process. To leave it on there is misleading to celiacs who visit and then find out that they can’t eat there but don’t want to drag the rest of their party elsewhere because of the constant guilt that entails. It is entrapment. An alternative option could be ‘GFO’ (gluten free option) on menu items that can involve substitutions. You would still need to train your staff properly to understand and be able to answer questions, and still carry a warning that your kitchen is not 100% gluten free, but at least celiacs wouldn’t turn up thinking that they have options when, in fact, they don’t.
