I ordered the vegan breakfast called Great Start (without eggs and included jackfruit instead) and it was okay - I’ve noticed there was a lack of seasoning. And my matcha oatmilk latte was unfortunately not good, I couldn’t finish it. I’d like to come back to try something else from their menu to see if other options might be better for lunch or dinner.

Don't order anything to-go in the mornings.
I had to call 3x just for someone to pick up. I was told to hold for "just a second" .... was on-hold for 4 minutes. Picked my order up and my fruit was missing from my order. I live just a 2 minute walk away. I had to go back to the restaurant to pick it up. By the time I got back home, my food was cold. I called to inform the lead of my experience, and was told "the management would explain we are just busy in Sundays and don't have the time to pick the phone up." The breakfast was $16.80. I won't be ordering phone orders from Taproot again. They apparently don't need the business.

The servings (other than the OG Burgers) are very large and satisfying. So many vegan options, not just hummus and maybe Brussel sprouts. There is something for everyone, from vegans to carnivores, allergen considerate. It was so good, we ate there 3 times in two days. Deep fried pancakes? Oh, my. Brunch and dinner were both great!

We stopped here on our drive from Silver Falls State Park to Portland. Vegan items were clearly marked on the menu. My husband ordered a burger with a house made vegan patty. I ordered the desert bowl. Both were tasty and the portion size was just right. The house made vegan mayo, vegan ranch, and vegan chipotle sauce are all amazing!

A vegan Grandma and a gluten free Grandma and a toddler had a delicious meal that suited everyone’s needs! I ordered the Israeli Couscous Salad without peppers and the chipotle dressing. It was huge and delicious, served with a tasty strawberry vinaigrette.

No integrity !!! This place is a front they don’t care about anything they say they do. I went here for an interview I met with the chef the owner and the sous chef, but I worked with one of the waiters at a different restaurant who was a Karen and she tanked my whole interview and I told them about the situation with me and Miss Karen and they didn’t care even though I’m a person of color and she is a caucasian they still sided with the Karen I’m sure it’s because 90% of there staff is Caucasian. I thought you cared about social justice and blm!?! The funny thing is I didn’t even apply or reach out in anyway the Chef got a hold of me on Facebook and practically begged me to come in for an interview lol like every other business they only care about your money!!!!

I love the idea of this place but was severely disappointed by the food. I got the chipotle ranch tacos with tofu and was immediately appalled by the tofu upon the plate arriving, however, I was willing to give it a try and put my judgment aside. I did not even finish chewing the first bite. The tofu was bland and the flavors of the dish didn’t mend well whatsoever. I typically will give places a couple of gos before dismissing them but our server asked how our food was and then only acknowledged the person who said they enjoyed their food. I paid fully for the dish that I took ONE bite out of (then spit back out into my napkin) and decided this is the first and last time I’ll be dining at Taproot.

Bartenders can hold the line on the insanity. It's a bar you can have a conservation at.

I definitely recommend the hot and sticky wings. The crisp almost broke my back. Juicy and savory go hand and hand. I sucked that wing so dry I almost ate my finger. My waiter was an amazing soul, #tapthatroot
