Great food, not too greasy, super awesome waitress,
It's easy to see why they won 2024 best breakfast award.
Commitment to quality food
Very attentive to customer needs, without being pushy and giving you space to breathe.
Whoever is cooking In the back gets started immediately when you put in an order. You can FEEL the commitment to customers here.
Always great food and friendly service!
The food was tasty, the service was good and the price was reasonable :)
The food here is great, but the staff is always worth returning for! We love coming in Wednesday for the schnitzal special and Tiffany and Krysta always make it an experience worth writing home about. We were a little apprehensive our first visit because they place is called Whites and we're not white, but we asked Krysta about the name and she said it was the last name of the original and the current owner; no relation to anything yucky or intolerant. Pretty quickly we learned our assumption was false, and the place was packed with every demographic you could imagine and thats been our experience over the last 2 months. If you've never tried this place, you're missing out! I'm sure every special is good, but we show up Wednesday for the schnitzal and are never disappointed.
We were up from Eugene for an appt. That was closest to the appointment. We both ordered BLT's. Could have ben better. The bacon was basically burned.
Gotta put some respect on The Mess. Super good.
My experience at this restaurant lately has been absolutely awful. My grandfather introduced me to this restaurant a few years ago and i always noticed a racist undertone to this restaurant either getting served before others and receiving food after people who have gotten there after us and the constant stares from people who eat there. When i’d go with my grandpa the waitresses were actually respectful and caring but after i started going with my girlfriend who is also not white we have been getting treated terribly. Menus thrown at us, sitting there waiting for a menu while other people get helped immediately, And no check up after we get our food other than the waitresses taking the card so we can pay for the meal. The waitress tiffany P specifically acts as if taking our order is the most painful things she’s ever experienced and me and my girlfriend have seen her act nicer towards white customers but rude and standoffish to us. This behavior needs to change there’s countless reviews about the blatant racism and discrimination that goes on in this establishment. And it’s not easy to stop eating here because this is my favorite breakfast place in salem. But because of the raising prices and obvious intolerance for anyone that isn’t white there’s no reason to keep coming back.
Amazing amazing food. Place was super busy on sunday so wait time was not fun and they were so busy so while service is not what i would hope for at a place, it was to be expected with there customer load at the time.
Sorry to say as I have been a regular customer for years, but White's is now out of my price range. They were previously a reliable and affordable option. I understand the price increases in response to the current economy but one coffee and omelette with no sides (comes with hash browns and biscuit which I chose not to have but received no decrease in cost for) is 19$+ and because Krista and Jaime are awesome they deserve a good tip so now a meal I used to be able to get for under 20$ with tip is now 24$, for one person, one omelette, one coffee. I look forward to returning to White's if and when they are able to reduce their prices and wish their staff nothing but the best

Awesome food, quick & friendly service. The sausage gravy was divine and worth the trip.
Was looking for a place to eat after my appointment, and White's popped up. We try to go to non chain mom and pop type restaurants, so this seemed the place to try, and I am glad we did. First, we noticed street parking was all taken, and the side parking lot was almost full, but we found a spot. They were busy. A good sign of good food. No wait to be seated. You find a spot. So we did.Our waitress brought us menus and waters and said she would be back, which was fine since we hadn't been there before we needed time to look over the menu. She came to get our drink order and brought our iced teas, and we told her we needed a few more minutes. We decided on a breakfast meal, I believe, called Don's Full Mess. Which was all the breakfast meats, ham, bacon, sausage ,onions, and bell peppers, covered with country gravy and scramble eggs with sourdough toast. It was huge! And very good all in layers! Definitely had leftovers for the next mornings breakfast. The thing is, it wasn't just a huge amount of hashbrowns. There was a bunch of meat! Lots of the ham, bacon, and sausage! This another place that we will definitely go back to if we are in the area.
Such a great place to eat! Nice people, nice staff, very welcoming
