Deadly good pastry
Lovely cafe with very nice staff and delicious delights for the tummy. Yummy.
A bakery that clearly understands it's on the Oregon trail and shows that with it s historic offerings and memorabilia in the gift shop. This place used to be really cheap, and now it's on the low end of the high side. Excellent food, especially their sandwiches which are reasonably priced. I've heard people rave about the coffee, though I've never had it. They have an astounding collection of candy from a long time ago. Stuff you haven't seen probably since the '70s. However bizarre your candy was, like candy cigarettes, or pop rocks, or just flat out Necco wafers, they'll have them. Plenty of them. The gift shop changes for the season, and has an excellent selection of Christmas decor. Pre-order your dinner rolls for Thanksgiving or Christmas and you won't be disappointed, but they do need to be eaten within 3 days. If you like cinnamon rolls, he won't be disappointed. They also have whole cakes and pies as well as slices available daily. This is one of the most popular spots in Sandy, so if you're there in the middle of the day or in the early evening, it's going to be busy. The waiting line can be fairly long, but they move as fast as they can. You won't find employees standing around in this bakery. There are a couple of tables to eat there, and there is outside seating as well.
Cozy, tasty and affordable goods/coffee. Try the banana muffins!
Coffee and pastries are so delicious and well priced. We stopped there for lunch after a long hike and truly enjoyed everything. The pastries are not overly sweet, and reminded us of baked goods in Europe. We ended up buying more for breakfast the next day. Excellent counter staff. Too bad we don't live there!
I hear is quite often they have great breakfasts and one of those big old burgers with the ham and the eggs and all that stuff on it I was sorry to see that they got rid of their mac and cheese with the brisket slab in the middle that was one of my personal faves but all in all the place is awesome they have great bloody marys in the bar and their bakery is the best around with super affordable coffee drinks I think they're like $5 for 16 oz and the pastries and other Nummies in that building take me back to my childhood and leave my head whirling, much likely from the sugar rush. 😄
Neighborhood and tourist favorite Huge selection of unique baked fresh pies, cakes, cheesecakes, goods, treats, breakfast/ lunch- soup + sandwhich items

Well... I absolutely LOVE their Raspberry Gnocchi Cake!!! However, they changed the recipe a little and I liked the old one better... oh, and the price of the cake went from $20 to $30!. I do like the current recipe too... IF AND WHEN I can get it. That is my only complaint. The last 5 TIMES I've tried to stop in and buy one they've been SOLD OUT. Very frustrating! This would be a 5 star review if I could actually buy one! Do better Tollgate Bakery... product on hand is money in your hand!

My favorite place to stop when I am going to or from Portland. They have excellent coffee drinks. I haven't found any bakery items I don't like. I got a pretzel dog both directions. The kale and feta pastry is excellent as well. They have a wonderful selections of gifts you can't find elsewhere. I picked up Bigfoot Christmas gifts as well as country style gifts. The staff are amazing and helpful.

The Cannoli is literally the best I’ve ever had, including the ones I tried in Italy. I honestly believe they might be the best in the world. Also, they haven’t changed from over a decade ago. Same great texture and taste. WOW.
Vegetarian options: They have plenty of variety on products.
Parking: Parking all around the buildings though it can get busy during lunch and dinner.
Kid-friendliness: Absolutely welcoming to kids.
