A bakery that clearly understands it's on the Oregon trail and shows that with it s historic offerings and memorabilia in the gift shop. This place used to be really cheap, and now it's on the low end of the high side. Excellent food, especially their sandwiches which are reasonably priced. I've heard people rave about the coffee, though I've never had it. They have an astounding collection of candy from a long time ago. Stuff you haven't seen probably...
Coffee and pastries are so delicious and well priced. We stopped there for lunch after a long hike and truly enjoyed everything. The pastries are not overly sweet, and reminded us of baked goods in Europe. We ended up buying more for breakfast the next day. Excellent counter staff. Too bad we don't live there!
I hear is quite often they have great breakfasts and one of those big old burgers with the ham and the eggs and all that stuff on it I was sorry to see that they got rid of their mac and cheese with the brisket slab in the middle that was one of my personal faves but all in all the place is awesome they have great bloody marys in the bar and their bakery is the best around with super affordable coffee drinks I think they're like $5 for 16 oz and the pastries and other Nummies...
