It’s not the same anymore. New owners, new employees. I ask for extra sauce on my slice they say no. Why not sell some extra sauce and refuse the sale? The slices are smaller now. Wood fired is great, but today they were to crispy. The pizza was dry. I get that they make their pizza with their hands.. I asked to have my slices on separate plates and the employee grabbed all the slices with his bare hands and re plated them. It was off putting.
The last two times I’ve went, have made me rethink coming here.
I come from out of town just for this pizza! Used to be my fave! It’s not bad, it’s just not the same. I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it anymore, and I’m leaning towards no.

Old Oak Oven has always had delicious pizza, today we tried the deep.dish and it was different but still very good! Also had a slice of margarita, fresh and tasty as usual. We also had the sweet heat, pepperoni, and jalapeños with pineapple and bacon, definitely a winning combo!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I had a 5☆ reviews after our first visit, 2nd visit they were curt and short with my husband and today would have been our 3rd time but after this experience, 1☆ is generous. I have a corn allergy and I wanted to know the ingredients of the Margherita pizza. It's a simple pizza and I'd never visited before, they seemed like kind people but confused I'd ask what the ingredients were. Got the pizza, didn't have a reaction, thought we found a nice spot to eat. Next time we went we got the same Margherita pizza, asked if anything had changed in the ingredients and the guy said no but they do change the cheeses a lot and can't guarantee anything. We said that was fine. Today we wanted a Margherita pizza and when my husband went to order, he asked if anything had changed in cheeses. And the two men there said they didn't appreciate us asking and that he changes ingredients often and we need to go somewhere else cause he did not appreciate us asking. 3rd time. Last time. Very rude, as someone whose worked customer service, food and cooking, I do NOT appreciate cooks that don't care about food or allergies of their customers. We tipped every time we went in, even ordered 2 bottles of water with our 1st visit and he never gave them to us. Don't eat here. There's cheaper, higher quality food and better people to support who are worth your time and money.
