We were there in June of 2025. Our servers were outstanding. The cocktails were delicious. The oysters were excellent. The prices of the entrees are very reasonable. Now the drawbacks: families with kids and the kids are noisy and cranky and disrupt a lovely meal. What should have been a marvelous grilled halibut dinner was disappointing. We celebrated my wife's birthday at the BBR-The Lodge Restaurant and enjoyed an incredible evening of dining. The ambience is amazing: The dining area is very comfortable with expansive windows showcasing one of the most beautiful views to be found anywhere. The service was amazing and our server went out of the way to make sure that we had everything we needed. And, of course, the food was delicious. The wine and bar menu offered a variety of very good choices. Dining here...
All was outstanding with the following caveats. - Ambience was great with views super and wonderfully quiet noise level. However, this was mid-week in April and this degree of enjoyment is unlikely experienced during the busy season of July or August. - While tasty, the prime rib did not reach the level of tenderness that one should expect from a prime cut.
