Beautiful dinning room and view. Very quiet, hardly any diners! Very enjoyable evening with special friends. Halibut was a little too spicy, which was a shame if you don't care to have your fresh halibut that way. Ask for bread, it is a very nice focaccia.
Black Butte Ranch is a beautiful place to dine with magnificent views and excellent service. Since the tables are spread out, it's easy to have a private conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. The food was good but not as good as 2 years ago when we were there last time. It was fine but not outstanding.
We were there in June of 2025. Our servers were outstanding. The cocktails were delicious. The oysters were excellent. The prices of the entrees are very reasonable. Now the drawbacks: families with kids and the kids are noisy and cranky and disrupt a lovely meal. What should have been a marvelous grilled halibut dinner was disappointing.
