A chain of Phili Cheese Steak stores, with one in Portland and West Linn. This is the only one I've eaten at so far.
What impressed me very deeply was that the clerk who took our order was very, very kind and made us feel like we were at home. I hope the boss can cherish this employee. I ordered the signature Cheese Steak. I thought the meat and cheese were delicious, but the bread was not fried properly. It felt like it was just slightly heated in the oven, which even made the inside of the bread feel wet instead of dry. of. But overall it's delicious, but it's just not as good as expected. I'm not from Philadelphia, but I've seen some great cheese steaks that are fried with butter until crispy.

Meatball sub is my favorite but the Italian wasn’t too shabby either! Fast polite service as well!

I was raised in Philadelphia, so it’s going to be hard to impress me. The Silver Slicer in Ardmore., Mama’s in Manyunk, and the reigning champion of consistency across all stores, believe it or not Wawa’s. We had so many good hoagie shops that it was hard to pick a favorite, but those were mine, and I do get nostalgic for a taste of my childhood. So today, I went on a little adventure to Sisters, Oregon.
The atmosphere was OK, clean, quiet. The Cook was frying up some ribeye on the grill. I ordered an Italian hoagie And a cheesesteak.
First the Cheesesteak.
I ordered it with American cheese on one side and provolone on the other. The bread was pretty good, nice and soft, but it lacked a certain crunchiness In the crust.
The steak was good quality, but in Philly, it is cooked at a much higher temperature, and there is a constant breaking up of the meat with the edge of the spatula. The meat lacked any of those little brown edges and crusty bits that makes the ribeye such a stand out meat. And the ribeye has plenty of fat so it could do with a little heat for flavor.
The provolone cheese was good and did not overwhelm which cannot be said for the American. The American cheese had a slightly cloying, sweetness that I found unpleasant. I am willing to chalk this up to personal preference.. Again, the bread was pretty good. The oil blend was PERFECT! Likewise, the onions were PERFECT! They were chopped, not sliced, and it gave the onions a chance to shine without the sulfur of the juice leaking out the sandwich. It takes longer, but chopped onions are the secret. The meats choices were uninspiring and not as flavorful as I thought they should be.
Overall? A good effort, but not a taste of Philadelphia. Maybe with a little sizzle out of that grill and a little salami in the hoagie it can be nudged east of the Mississippi., If not all the way to Delco.
In Philadelphia, hoagies and cheesesteaks are holy ground, and I would hate for people with no familiarity with the medium to feel. This was a true representation. It was ALMOST there, but not quite, But perfectly adequate for a lunch sandwich.

Sisters is full of restaurants that are mediocre but charge tourist prices. PCS gives you a large hot cheesesteak sandwich for a very reasonable price for the area. it's the only place I will eat in town.
We had take out. So I’m not sure about the atmosphere. I’m originally from a suburb of Philly and this is authentic tasting . I got the chicken cheese steak. I haven’t had a chicken cheese steak since moving to Oregon. I got sweet peppers on the chicken as an extra, which is something I also haven’t been able to find since moving from PA. My husband got a regular cheese steak. My husband wants to try the hoagies the next time we go. This is worth a trip to Sisters just for a stop here. My husband ran in to pick up the food, he said the owner was super friendly.
I’d like to say thank you to the owners for having the authenticity down to the sweet peppers. My grandmother always ordered cheese steaks with sweet peppers and the authentic flavors brought me back.

An enjoyable atmosphere with good food. The cheesesteaks are large and filling. We always split one, which is always enough. Clean restaurant, with a very friendly staff, makes this one of our favorite stops in Sisters.

I was born and raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia... I can absolutely promise you that the cheesesteak (mayo, pickles, fries onions) will not disappoint. It's as close to home as I'm going to get.

Nice staff, great beer, okay sandwiches, good spot on the way back through sisters if you're hungry, as the portion sizes are quite large.
