Beyond the Forest

We held my mom's memorial service on Saturday and wanted to use a local florist to get the personal service and attention to detail you can't get through an online or national retailer.

I will say the following about the quality of service and product we received:

1. Hayley went above and beyond, on, I'm sure, what was an extremely hectic day at their business to ensure that the arrangements were beautiful and were everything we discussed.

2. The quality of the flowers were top notch. And the arrangements were astonishing. I appreciated that she used some of my mom's favorite flowers, I know she would have been so pleased.

Overall, I would use this shop again for any floral arrangements. The one piece of improvement I would love to see is a way to get a hold of the delivery driver directly on the day of delivery. He called from a blocked number, and reaching anyone at the shop on the day of was a challenge.

Below are the challenges and outcomes from those challenges:

1. The delivery was chaotic, the driver showed up an hour and a half early and called me in the middle of my family's time together before the service to inquire as to why the space wasn't opened up yet, when I informed him that the delivery wasn't supposed to be until later, he profusely apologized and said he would be back later to deliver. When I saw the flowers standing in front of the stage I noted that one of the sprays had come apart. I walked outside and the delivery driver told me that Hayley was on her way with more flowers to fix the spray.

Additionally, when it WAS time for the delivery to happen, the driver was not there on time.

2. The order was not completely fulfilled (ordered two table top bouquets only received one).

Considerations for the above challenges we all faced:

Halloween town is currently happening in downtown St. Helens, which essentially shuts roads down, the delivery driver explained that he saw a break in the activities and decided to take advantage of it, the the reason he was there an hour and a half earlier than we expected him.

BTF gave me two options on how I wanted the order made right:

1. She could go back to the shop and whip up another table top bouquet and also apply a lesser credit to my order.

2. Stick with one table top bouquet, and receive a larger credit on my order.

Since the space we held the service in had a bouquet of fake flowers for the guest book, and I didn't want to add any more complications to the day, I opted for the larger credit. Hayley credited us for the missing arrangement and the delivery fee.

I can’t say enough good things about Hayley at Beyond the Forest! They have so much to offer! We utilized her as our florist for our wedding. She made sure to get flowers that were perfect for our day, checked in with me to make sure I liked them, and on top of it, they were extremely reasonable for pricing. I will continue to use them in the future and recommend as many people go to them!

Whimsically crafted and named soft drinks, and more surprises in the shop daily--especially locally crafted and sourced goods. (Maple syrup?! Beautiful pottery? Yes.) (And always more lovely plants).But recent best surprise is their huge delicious sandwiches are also available gluten free! Go here if you're hungry!

Absolutely love this place! ❤️ If you’re looking for a cozy spot to work on homework, enjoy a great meal, and sip on a delicious drink, this is the perfect choice! The menu is full of amazing options, and the owner is incredibly friendly and sweet. They also host so many fun group events here definitely check them out when you visit! Highly recommend!

Hayley took photos at my wedding and was fabulous! I love how she directed to get people moving. She also helped keep the reception on schedule. Her DJ Miguel also played at our reception. He was awesome! He made sure the party kept going. I would recommend both of them for any event you may have!

Server was nice and attentive. The location is cute but still in developmental/decoration stage it seemed. We ordered 2 drinks, one decaf iced latte and one caff shots over ice. Both were very bitter and undrinkable. This place came highly recommended but we won't be returning unfortunately.

Hayley was outstanding! We hired her to be our daughter's wedding coordinator and florist. We also used her staff for servers.The staff was friendly, professional, and always helpful. Hayley went the extra mile to ensure our daughter was happy and remained calm. The flowers were incredibly beautiful! Hayley, on every aspect, was wonderful! We would highly recommend!
