Amazing foods, interesting place. The recommended strawberry dessert was great. This place is also a mini NASA museum. The owner is a nice person. He told interesting hidden histories and stories, which was so much fun to learn

A must stop and stay overnight! Do not miss breakfast and the museum! Customer service was superb! Comfy bed, beautiful decor, very quiet area, slept great. Breakfast was great and I took scones for the road. Don’t miss out on this wonderful place, take time and enjoy the remarkable history of this family, house, and town. It’s a short walk to shopping, brewery, and the library…basically everything. Loved my time here and will be back. Thank you for a wonderful retreat.

We had tea there and it was so much fun!

I would give this wonderful cafe a five star.
Our breakfast was delicious, our service was excellent. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy, and it is filled with a tremendous amount of wonderful family history.
For the last 20 years, this has been a family run, bed-and-breakfast, along with their “open to the public”café.
I would highly recommend the Gardner House Café. You will find it to be very rewarding.

We stopped for lunch passing through Stayton. The food was very good. The ambiance is charming but the highlight of the lunch experience was the service and the fun little tour of the Nasa collection that belonged to the owner's father who retired from Nasa. I'm glad we made the stop. It was an all round fun and unique experience.

We found this place online, looking for a one night stay over before completing our trip further west... it did not disappoint! We visited Stayton old town and enjoyed the area very much! Breakfast was wonderful and the owner (Jim) shared some wonderful history and stories relevant to growing up with a father who was an astronaut. His museum astronaut/space memorabilia and sharing of history was great. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Happened upon this restaurant while we were in town. Had an early lunch with an amazing three cheese panini and their house made tomato soup. The food was delicious and the tour and NASA museum were an added bonus that we didn't expect but enjoyed so much! Would definitely come back when we are in the area.

My husband and I had lunch at Gardner House Cafe today. It was excellent! My husband had the Reuben sandwich and I had a lunch salad. Both the presentation and taste of the food was wonderful. Hope to come there again next time we are in town.

Food was great. Tasted like a home cook meal because it is. Wild astronaut stuff on the walls. Even have some damn chimpanzee skulls! Good vibes and love a good ma and pa biz

James, who runs the place, is a very nice guy!! Excellent service, great food, and a beautiful, cozy room. Definitely get homey vids from this place. We will 100% be going back!!

Nancy and I ate at the restaurant. The menu was great. Prices were reasonable. I think the Reuben was $10 or so.
We also had a peach galette (pie) with ice cream.

Then we viewed their display cases full of space and astronaut memorabilia.

Then we chatted with the owner for longest time about his family history. It was fun!

We did not stay in a room there because we were staying in Silverton. I gave the rooms five stars just because :)

My wife and I just got 2 orders of biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and sausage and bacon and eggs over medium.

This is by far the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The sausage is super flavorful, almost tastes like sage and rosemary. I don't know if they grind their own, but it was amazing. We will absolutely be ordering from here again.

I can't speak on the bed part but the breakfast was amazing! We ordered biscuits and gravy to go and though it was a little spendy it was worth every penny! Soooo yummy!

Went to high tea on a date with my wife. It was delightful! Pastries were all perfect, full of flavor and perfect texture.

Went to have high tea today with my girls and MIL, along with BFF, daughter and her MIL. The place was lovely. Lots of teas to pick from. Tasty food, presented beautifully. Wonderful host. We all had an amazing time and look forward to making this an experience we do more often.
